Just watched 162 today.
Obviously the Silva fight was crazy. Couldn't believe after the scares against Sonnen that he'd fight so brazenly against Weidman. Overeem found out the same thing recently: fighters today can finish you in one punch. It doesn't even really have to be a hook, that jab that caught Silva was nasty but wasn't even thrown with a lot of malice. Now that Silva has been beat it will be interesting to see his approach for the next fight.
Edgar looked dominant. Oliveira is a great prospect though, but he was completely controlled in this fight. Edgar deserves another le shot soon, he beats the snot out of everyone he fights. If dude had just a little more power in that right hand, no one would be able to last 5 rounds against him. If Oli's at ude is good he could learn a lot from this fight and get a lot better. But if he loses again, he could be dropped from the UFC. Kind of sucks, the guy has enough talent to be in the octagon, but Swanson and Edgar back to back are rough when you're 23.
Kennedy fought a really smart fight. Gracie looked like he wanted to retire for most of round 3. Anytime you break the will of the other guy, that's a major accomplishment and Kennedy just crushed Gracie into pulp. Kennedy should be moving up, especially at his age he needs a shot sooner than later, and his game is well-rounded enough to justify a le shot soon.
Boetsch was the turd of the night. Absolutely nothing impressive from that guy. Munoz looked good beating on a mannequin for 2.5 rounds.
Swanson was ing entertaining. That fake uppercut is hilarious.
Overall great card, and every fight was entertaining except for Munoz - Boetsch.

A lot of people are writing about this; completely threw off Anderson's timing.
Jon Jones: Anderson Silva 'Abused His Gift,' Disrespected Chris Weidman

Imagine if Sonnen had won the first fight, what his reaction would have been...
Sonnen is always a cool customer so he probably would have remained that way..
Weidman has so much potential.. He has wrestling and submissions combined with power in his hands and an emerging stand up game.. I hope he can beat Silva again and see him defend against the likes of Bisping and Vitor..
At last talking with sense
The second fight might look like the rounds excluding 1 vs Sonnen in 1st fight.S
Silva striking as much as he can. That would be easier for him to take down.
I hope Weidman will submit his ass
