He looks ready to go. McGradys basketball IQ is probably the most underrated part of his game. Also looks like Pop has given him the green light so I expect him to play within the system and try to create for others first.
A slashing pass first Small Forward would be a tremendous addition to our squad. Even if he isnt young TMAC anymore.

Even T-Mac in his prime was more of a jumpshooter than a slasher. If Pop can get T-Mac in his old age to become more of a slasher, Pop is truly the greatest man alive.

A lot if interesting tidbits from Pop shootaround interview:
- He called TMac a perimeter player
- He said that it will take Tmac few weeks to be ready.
- He called him an insurance policy in case of injuries or foul troubles.
Given all that, the likely conclusion is that Spurs have signed TMac to have another body to put on Durant and Lebron.

He certainly talks the talk. If he can contribute at all I would be extremely happy but he sounds like he's confident he can help. I like when they ask him if he can play PG and he says oh definitely. Guess we'll know soon
I fully expect T-Mac to play some decent minutes in the 1st round. T-Mac brings some size and playmaking to the 3 spot, and that will be useful. Especially with Diaw out, Jack gone, and Manu barely returning from injury...

Pop is just keeping expectations and pressure down. It would make zero sense to come out and say " hes going to be a huge piece and were counting on him".
Pop will give TMAC a chance when the time is right and depending on how he performs he will see his role expanded or not.
