Bayless may "like" them to some extent, but when the Lakers were about to play the Spurs (when they were in an injury funk) he was ready to write them off to lose in the first round.

My point is that Bayless is performing the role of a contrarian on a TV show. Given what I know about Skip Bayless and how he conducts himself (especially when he worked in Dallas), I have no idea if he is genuine in his beliefs/statements. He was really a guy with few friends (if any) at pretty much all the newspapers and radio stations in Dallas where he worked by the time he left town for good in the mid 1990s. I heard NOTHING but bad things about Skip.

I just hope SA can finish these guys - it'll be kind of funny to hear all the excuses to come from Bristol, CT. It may not happen, but we'll see.

Lebron James and people like him cannot be role models for the young. James is too immature, his ego overblown to gigantic proportions. He has NOT done something for Humanity yet, and yet he acts as if he is a god on earth.

I'm ok with them ting on the Spurs, its to be expected. But to say the Lakers will be a threat next year? Its looking more and more like the Lakers will be in rebuilding mode next year. Kobe is going to miss major time and probably won't be the same when he returns. Dwight already has his bags packed. The Lakers have a better chance of winning the Draft Lottery than they do contending. Terrible basketball take from guys that clearly don't pay attention.

The media created this monster and now they are dealing with it. This is what you get for calling a guy "The King" before he even made it to the championship round. I have nothing wrong with people calling LeBron a great player, or even best in the world. A lot of times, he is that good. LeBron James is a great basketball player, but he's not perfect and there aren't five of him on the court at once. He's gotten help from his teammates in the games they've won, so you can't pin this on the Heat's other players like you could the Cavs in 2007. The Spurs have beaten them in the three games they've won. An acquaintance of mine, and I say that loosely because he's a gigantic LeBron sucking bag, said the Heat let the Spurs win Game 1. Really? They were leading the game for 3 and a half quarters and just let the Spurs seal the game on a clutch run in the 4th? Bet you still have a Cleveland #23 jersey.

When you're worshiped by the masses and you have a 200' tall picture of your face on the side of the largest coliseum in the city, you're going to probably develop a god complex. Blame it on the public who worshiped him since he was in grade school.
