We would be so up ahead it wouldn't matter. Lol jk
Howard is as fickle as a teenage girl.
We would be so up ahead it wouldn't matter. Lol jk
The Spurs would rather have Pau Gasol...
To be honest as much as this would not happen, if dude had half a brain and wanted to win it all next year he would join the Spurs. Then Duncan would ride off into the sunset and Dwight would have his own squad for several years after that. If he stays with the Lakers that would be mind blowing. Where else would he go? Houston? Well then like I said less than half a brain. Spurs FO would be like OK, for one year you shush up and win a ring, then after that you will be spoon fed the ball. Remember the twin towers? Yeah this is part 2 with TD playing David Robinson
We already have a tissue soft player in Tiago Splitter but some people here want to re-sign him.
Let's all just wait to "The Decision".![]()
Dude can't even hit a free throw. You can tell he's the type of player who doesn't like to work on his game. He just relies on talent to get by. in bag! No thanks.
Every. Player. Says. This.
Dwight knows the only place he will ever even get close to a le is with the Spurs. If he choses any other team then he is basically admitting that he only cares about money and his fame.
I would find it fascinating to see him on our team but I just can't see it happening realistically. I don't think he likes Duncan at all and Pop prob is right up there too.
It did not help that Tim made fun of him during the sweep, but that was nothing compared to some of the crap KG used to do to Duncan when never playing him anything much better than even. Winning can make for some strange bed fellows, Kobe hated Howard all year now pines for him to return.
Howard coming to the Spurs would be the 3 biggest thing in franchise history and ESPN would just run with the tag line, "Robinson, Duncan, Howard" A reign of Bigs in the city of san Antonio. Spurs fans hate him because he comes off as a major prick but the guy is just a big talented dummy who's never been properly coached or had someone to look up to. He played in Orlando where he had small pieces around him but no mentor and a coach who was always sweating everything with management that didn't trust anything. LA is a big joke, horrible coaching and old teammates who were going to lean on him after Kobe went down.
Howard going to the Spurs would be a wake up call, he'd be coached properly, wouldn't have the leverage to hold anything over Pop and we have banners so he's not bringing anything new to the city but we have never single handedly relied on just 1 person to get us the victory. We have coaches that can teach you how to play the game right, how to shoot and how to deal with pressure situations. If we got him we'd instantly have a chance to get to another le in the next 2 years.
Players lie all the time and no one calls them on it. They say like this, and then go where they can party and be with their friends. Probably a full 75% of the league doesn't give a about winning. They're about money and clubbing. If they told their fans that, they'd turn on them, though, so they SAY the right things and do what they want.
I know but the typical fanboys swallow everything the media says and don't think outside the box. Bruce says the main reason the Lakers failed is because of Kobe. Kobe is selfish, he just cares about Kobe Bryant. DH12 took most of the blame unjustly when the real reason was Kobe. You can ask any diehard Laker fan and they will unwittingly admit.
Hopefully Dwight will take this chance to give Kobe the big FU. Kobe desparately needs him back as the Lakers would be pitiful next year without him.
When Popovich yelled at DHoward during the All Star break for being a clown...that is enough to know he will never be a Spur...end of thread.
He yells at Manu almost every game for some bone head play and he's still around.
LMAO...big difference....Manu...Duncan...Parker...win les.....Howard is a clown. I hope the Lakers get stuck with him...that would be great.
HOward will not come to a boring team like Spurs. And losers too, just like what happened on Tuesday and Thursday. What happened in Game 6 will not happen to mentality tough teams...
Heck, over the years, I've even had "First Take" producers discourage me from talking about the Spurs on air because they're such ratings killers." - Skip Bayless
Used to like him when he first entered the league and his early days. Not so much anymore but I'd take him in a heartbeat on the Spurs at this point.
No, the Spurs were about to trade for C Webb in a Sign and Trade and give the Kings Robinson. From what I heard, over 100,000 letters were sent to Spurs office in 1st few days protesting the trade. C Webb was coming to SA. But us fans said, and after what Robinson did for this franchise, didn't care about winning at the cost of giving up the player that literally saved the Spurs franchise in SA.
I'd rather have Juwan Howard
He will end up in one of these locations:
