I'd be thrilled to get Dieng or Wolters. Knowing the Spurs, if either of these two are still on the board by #28 then I definitely think they'll snatch them up. That said, if they aren't...then were probably going to go with that Livean-Jean Charles guy from France and stash him overseas.

I think the Spurs porbably have a list. I think they'd love to take some of the athletic wings too like Muhammed, Franklin, Kerasev, etc, but none of them will probably be available.

My prediction: A big man. It'll either be Dieng (if he's still there) Muscala (he'll be there but he's soft...) Plumlee (please god yes) or Rudy ing Gobert (He's a stick. No athletic ability whatsoever.)

Don't like Erick Green at all. He was the leading scorer on a bad team at Virginia Tech. He's also undersized, not athletic, and not a pure point guard. Hope we don't go full re and draft a Green, Cannan, or some other small ass ball hog guard. Jesus that would be terrible. The last thing we need.

always amusing, ST picks are nearly always NOT the Spurs picks.
It would help me out of a few posters named players they think will be busts; I would be more inclined to want those players to be drafted by the Spurs.

I am about 99% sure Dieng will not be around at 28.

I have no faith at all that the Spurs could end up with Dieng, but that would be amazing.

And for those who are interested in Goodwin, why exactly? I watched several UK games last season, and he seems like the very definition of selfish, immature chucker. He has driving ability, but he turns it over like a mofo, and looks for contact instead of finishing. We already have Manu to fill that role.

Its not that I dont like him. Looking at the last season I believe the Spurs have bigger needs.
IMO, I would try to pick a SG/SF that can handle the ball a little.

I guy that could play the 2 with Cojo and specially with Manu, so he doesnt have to run the offense by himself.
A guy that could replace Green or Kiwi if needed, and could play with both of them. Even a small lineup with Cojo-Manu-Pick.

Last season, every time Kiwi and Green were on the bench the team looked bad, not aggresive. Thats what I would try to solve with the pick...
And Im not asking a lot, just a guy that attacks the rim and can handle the ball a little.

I could see Spurs drafting another frenchie at #28 with Gobert or Jean-Charles. If Gobert slips and is available at #28, he would be a very nice gamble. Jean-Charles at ude is screaming he has received some kind of promise But I hope it isn't Spurs because i don't like his upside.

At #58, it would be a random draft and stash player. Spurs are kinda short on roster spots for next season so it seems the logical way to go.

What do people think of Tony Mitc ? From what little I've read, I'm thinking he might be a slight sleeper pick if you can blame his setbacks on the coaching change.

I read where he has maturity issues, but athletically this guy is solid.

Sacramento has been aggressive in trying to move up from seventh in the draft, league sources tell Y! Likely target: Ben McLemore.

Yeah, since there's nothing physically wrong with him, there's theoretically nothing completely preventing him from returning to his previous year's form -- and that would make a him a pretty strong pick. Could have just been a chemistry thing with the new coach; I'm sure scouts are checking all the angles.

    Snell
    Dieng
    Ledo
    Muscala
    Crabbe

Those are my top choices in that order. Wouldn't be surprised if they take someone we haven't even mentioned or if they draft-and-stash a guy like Livio Jean-Charles or some other Euro.

Also not a big fan of Gobert. Hope we pass on him or he's gone when we're up.

Shane Battier will be interviewing the players after they're drafted tonight.... hate that guy. Already ruining the draft and it hasn't even started.
