Going big is a good idea, at least more athletic up front someone who can play a 4 or 5 .
Maybe the Spurs will draft a Russian this time. Spurs' scout Trajan Langdon played for CSKA and Dynamo over his last 6 or 7 years, so maybe he has something of significance to bring to the table.
If OKC gets Oladipo, damn.
The problem with OKC coming in for Oladipo is now everyone knows he's good.
Minnesota wants the #2 for Oladipo as well. Lets hope they outbid OKC.
NBA Draft 2013: Phoenix Suns Interested in Baylor Point Guard Pierre Jackson
Yeah that. Oladipo is actually one of the few guys that is NBA ready now and is ready to contribute this season...
These are the top rated players according to WoW, including international from what I saw on their spreadsheet (based on both models picking them). The FO does stats up/down and every which way before they ever talk to a possible addition to the team. You gotta believe our pick is on the top rated list shown below.
Player Pos Ht Wins/48 Nerlens Noel C 6'10" 0.151 Victor Oladipo SG 6'5" 0.142 Lucas Nogueira C 7' 0.131 Kentavious Caldwell-Pope SG 6'5" 0.122 Mike Muscala C 6'11" 0.120 C.J. Stephens PF 6'5" 0.090 Trey Burke PG 6'1" 0.089
The guys below are rated as "Bust" by Wow... interesting... quite a few names on the bust list that people would love for us to draft. Seeing as I believe in such statistical models, (I'm a numbers person) we don't want any of these for our pick.

i would really like the spurs to take a chance on gobert, but i expect that not to happen even if he does slide to us.
No way in Tony Snell will be a bust.
T-minus 30 minutes and counting. Let's start this thing!
Why the Spurs should draft Jamaal Franklin
http://www.poundingtherock.com/2013/6/27/4471924/nba-draft-spurs-should-draft-jamaal-franklin
He's not only on the bust list, he's no where near the borderline at the start of the bust list. He has a negative score!!!! Not good.
As usual.. no idea about the prospects, but everyone seems to be high on Dieng.. so I hope we get him too.
trey burke barely taller than stern![]()
Yeah but he has sweet corn rows so that automatically makes him a balla. Lol jk.
I'd like to see a link to their methodology if that's available. For one example, I don't know how much weight could be realistically given to stats for a guy like Glen Rice Jr. before, say, February of this season. His numbers from there through the D-League finals are pretty impressive and a decent sample size on its own.
The numbers say Dieng will be a bust... I want Franklin or one of the bigs on the Hit list if they drop down to us.
