I have been saying that either Thomas will be a spur this season or well be playing with another NBA team. All this crap about Europe has been stupid and not once have I heard Thomas or the spurs mention it about him. Guy is an NBA player.

I thought Baynes played pretty good D but that's about it. He's another one who looks like he doesn't have his wind.
Really? I saw two blocks on scrubs..wasn't too impressed

He looks like he doesn't have his brain either.

He has a nice stroke for sure. Plus, he hustled and made the attempt to rebound. I'm interested to see how he ends the Summer League.

Honestly can't see it at this point. He has a huge body and can't control it. Needs an alpha male mentality, seems passive. Meh.

It's one average summer league performance. Pump the brakes kid.

no. Splitter is balless, but saying Baynes deserves his spot is downright mean.

Thomas was most impressive. Shaky start but settled in. Smooth jumper, nice pump fake, and moves around the basket. Defense a little hit and miss but he's certainly attentive and active. It's not due to lack of effort.

CJ and NDC started off great but really fizzled. CJ, of course, with poise at the end with the game winner. Not impressed with the defense by NDC though.

Baynes showed some flashes. Still a little lost but damn he fills up the lane.

I have not followed much of Thomas at all, but liked what I saw. Would love to see things work out with him.

George Hill shot 2/25 from the field (8.0%) in the Vegas Summer League after he got drafted lol. It all means nothing.

Ask Gary Neal if it means nothing...For some yes, for most, they are playing to get there foot in the door to training camp invite.

I'm sure Pop knew he was on the roster the minute he was available at 26.

I am talking about people taking bad performances too seriously. Neal got himself noticed but could have easily turned into a dud who just happen to get hot during the vegas summer league. Obviously he didn't but the point is you can't take too much from excellent performances or horrible performances.

Baynes is reminding of Perkins 2.0, great defensively and that's about it. With Dwight coming to our division we need some like Baynes. Perkins owned Dwight when he was with the Celtics and Dwight was with Orlando. Spurs need a guy on the roster to rough house Dwight.

Thomas is ready for NBA. He can already shoot spotting up, off the dribble or off screens and has some post moves. He's never gonna be able to blow by anyone and finish at the rim cause he's slow and unathletic but he can still be effective.

This. Anyone who wants to sign Thomas, hand CoJo the backup spot, or cut DeColo or Baynes after one summer league game needs to just relax.
