Good call! I sure hope we make a couple of moves. His biggest obstacle coming here will be Nando and Neal I reckon.
it's time that Manu recruits this guy, just like Tony did with Boris.

Spurs have submitted qualifying offers for both Tiago Splitter and Gary Neal, making both restricted free agents.

I have a hunch that Neal is gonna get paid handsomely on a different squad. Just my gut feeling.
Based on some of his Finals play and the Spurs' current wing situation, that's certainly a good possibility. Let's hope it happens, imo
I have nothing against Neal, but I do feel it might be time to see if we can get an upgrade for the roll he plays. I think he's pretty much reached his ceiling.
well there goes all our cap space.
jj red is all well get whatever
Splitter will stay but Neal will likely go. Some team that misses out on another FA will throw the MLE at him.
Houston was the team that wanted him,but they are clearing out cap space to make a run at Howard.
Any idea what that qualifying offer is in total for both Neal and Tiago?
So do we even have the capspace to absorb Robinson's salary now?
Matty celebrating.

Will be a long 10 days! I wish we knew what was going on in RC's head. He saw the same games we did, both good and bad. For me, the biggest fix might be relieving Manu as the back-up point guard. If they think another training camp and year for CJ and Nando will do the trick, then we might not see much there. I can't see Tiago going anywhere, unless something insane like West came into the picture. Then we have the back-up for Kawhi. Might not have to be a true 3, the prospect of Delfino is definitely interesting. If Tiago stays for the QO, is the cap space around 12 million, before Manu's deal?
I don't think we'll have cap space to do anything now aside from the MLE and LLE.. Ugh.. same old spurs thinking.. Just ride them till they all fall apart and hope for a great lottery pick
Neal - $1,116,099
Splitter - $4,930,000
So when can we expect reasponses from Splitter and Neal on their QOs?
It's safe to assume that both will sign offer sheets with other teams and wait for the Spurs to match.
Okay I retract my post above, maybe they'll let Tiago walk after someone exceeds that amount. They can't be chasing that guy, I just don't want to believe it. Anything is possible though when you pay Matt Bonner 4M
I have a feeling someone will offer Neal a 3+ mil contract and I cannot see the spurs matching that. I do not see a team going for broke with him cause most teams realize the spurs will match most offers, I seem him coming back at around 8 mil per year for 3 more seasons.
paying matt bonner 4 mill and offer tiago 5 mill
spurs are stupid sometimes.....
tiago is more valuable then boner yet only 2 mill more in spurs eyes.
the bonner love is so dumb
Anything south of 8 million will probably be matched by the Spurs, which is close to market value for a big that plays at Splitter's level.
I want to believe that there is something go on here to keep these guys and dump them because of expiring contracts.. Well hopefully they'll let Tiago walk when he gets a 7M offer and at least say, "well we tried"
Neal's qual offer is 1.1 mil; Splitter's is 4.9
by the way, can Spurs still amnesty Bonner?
Damn, If only I were born being 7 feet tall I could get paid a lot for grabbing a few boards, turning the ball over and having a ty hook.. Sorry, venting.. Ugh, not an improvement at all and can't expect an improvement unless someone offers him 10M
I can see where this offseason is going.. keep Bonner, re-sign Manu for $6 million, re-sign Splitter for $9 million, maybe keep Neal or go after Dunleavy.
Spurs standing pat again.
