GOOD! Didn't think it would happen anyways. I didn't want them to give away Diaw in the trade regardless. This is a joke though, there is no serious talks here and it's a stupid BS internet rumor.
It doesn't, and you are going to want that pick next year! Trust me losing Diaw and that pick and Splitter! NO!
I want us to be able to participate in that fully loaded draft next yr tbh

90% of this board trusts Diaw over Splitter in a game 7 situation. That's pretty ed up.
Unfortunately one crazy coach even trusted Diaw more than Duncan in the final seconds of a closeout game in the NBA Finals. Damn I'm never getting over this.

Yeah...we figured out the "source" was lying a couple of pages back.
I took a quick glance at last few pages. Tone didn't read like "yay! A trade will happen!" But didn't see the tweet, either, so figured. Gambo sucks, but he is spoon-fed info from Sarver regime, so Suns info is reliable.

I really have no idea what the Suns are doing.

On draft night Gambo tweeted drafting Len allowed Suns to trade Gortat to Portland (for rumored filler/#10). Never happened. Now he's tweeting Suns aren't exploring Gortat trades.

Awesome. Pass on Noel for Gortat backup, not replacement. Cool. Got it.

    Goddamn, Sarver!

You and me both BUDDY! Could get a KEY piece there for the future! If not trade up higher and get an even better piece! So much can happen in that stacked draft next year. I want that pick. I want Diaw back next year too, he is a very important piece IMO and gives us some quality mins. Who knows even soft as baby ter SPLITTER might even add some to his game . I keep those three over Gortat, sorry for those who disagree but I do.

What in Davy Jones’ locker did ye just bark at me, ye scurvy bilgerat? I’ll have ye know I be the meanest cutthroat on the seven seas, and I’ve led numerous raids on fishing villages, and raped over 300 wenches. I be trained in hit-and-run pillaging and be the deadliest with a pistol of all the captains on the high seas. Ye be nothing to me but another source o’ swag. I’ll have yer guts for garters and keel haul ye like never been done before, hear me true. You think ye can hide behind your newfangled computing device? Think twice on that, scallywag. As we parley I be contacting my secret network o’ pirates across the sea and yer port is being tracked right now so ye better prepare for the typhoon, weevil. The kind o’ monsoon that’ll wipe ye off the map. You’re sharkbait, fool. I can sail anywhere, in any waters, and can kill ye in o’er seven hundred ways, and that be just with me hook and fist. Not only do I be top o’ the line with a cutlass, but I have an entire pirate fleet at my beck and call and I’ll damned sure use it all to wipe yer arse off o’ the world, ye dog. If only ye had had the foresight to know what devilish wrath your jibe was about to incur, ye might have belayed the comment. But ye couldn’t, ye didn’t, and now ye’ll pay the ultimate toll, you buffoon. I’ll fury all over ye and ye’ll drown in the depths o’ it. You’re fish food now.

Im hopeful that Tiago tries to gain some overall body strength this offseason and really works on his interior presence. He's not bad, he's just a little too soft for my tastes right now. Hopefully he watches some tape and sees that he needs to get that fixed. And Diaw was a very pleasant surprise in the finals. Hope he stays here a long time.

what are some notable ayers that could realistically be in the Spurs range (and on their radar) in the 2014 draft?

We need a guy to replace that guy in your pic there! A Guard to replace the legend that is Ginobili! I don't have a name yet but damnit they are out there so lets see if they can keep that pick or move up to get one.

It was a GOOD STRATEGY. He did it in GS series and it was meant to play outside defense to stop the 3 ball. The ball just didn't bounce our way, is all.

Anyway, Diaw was excellent on LeBron and is why we "trusted" him in the game. Diaw and Leonard on LeBron was a great tactic and it worked for the whole series, basically.

If we do lose Diaw, we better get some better defensive legs and a bigger body in order to stop LeBron and the other athletic wings in the league.

I think Manu can still play an important role on this team. Like somebody said earlier if he were to take over Gary Neal's role (that's assuming Neal leaves in FA) he would be a huge upgrade. But I do agree with you that we need to find somebody that can take the pressure off of Manu. Green's kind of... Well, one-dimensional right now. Maybe that'll change. But either way we need to find somebody that can play both the 2 and the 3 at a solid level as a back-up behind Green. Let Manu be strictly an x-factor player.

Green is okay to me, but shows what he has in key moments of games! He is what he is, a one dimensional role player! But he is okay! Neal just sucks IMO! I don't even want to talk about him, he is what he is and by far the most one dimensional player on the team, atleast Green can play some D. I agree on your last part, draft should address that next year, period. Manu though can stay IMO, too early to give up on him after one bad year and finals! Maybe he has something left! He can play a different role now IMO.

Damn, way to get my hopes up. Gortat on the Spurs would be way better than Splitter. Spurs would actually have the Twin Towers again and Gortat wouldn't get bullied around by guards.

I wouldn't mind us getting somebody like Kyle Korver as a temporary stop-gap measure to relieve some pressure off of Manu. And Korver can play defense. Unlike... Well, you know who.

Not to mention we wouldve had to sell the farm to get him. Not worth it. He's better than Splitter, but not enough to justify trading Splitter as well as Diaw and a 1st round draft pick. That would be very un-RC-like, and quite frankly, a bone-headed move.
