Not a bad player but won't be any type of difference maker.

You're crazy. This guy will win us games single handedly. He's that type of player.

Great, another foreigner who cares more about FIBA worlds and 4th place Olympic finishes than his NBA team.
    I know right smh

Belinelli in the video above says he's happy he has this new chance to grow as a player and also being teammate of great players, players who won les. He has a special relationship with Ginobili; he (Beli) was 16 when Manu was in Bologna. Marco thinks Manu was and still is a "crazy phenomenon". He can hardly believe they are again in the same team. He thinks was an immature player when he entered the NBA, also phisically speaking, but got better in Toronto, better in New Orleans and mainly in Chicago. He does hope next year he can finally win a ring, the only thing that matters to him. Last season was the best and he's glad he was in a team that wanted to win. He was sure to remain in Chicago. About his future with the National team, he wants to be there, but at the same time he's now waiting for the green light from San antonio.
can the Spurs fans vote for this one?

    I vote : NO

    focus !

    only after Duncan retires.

Only signing I've been excited about. I believe Bellinelli will reach his potential on this team. Even if he's a poor mans Ginobili, we would've won this season with a poor mans Ginobili instead of the skid row version we got.

Why isn't ST going crazy over this? Or are we only in "win a le or the world is imploding mode"?

I think the Spurs just signed their 6th man for a VERY reasonable contract. Nevermind this 6th man actually turned down MORE MONEY from other teams to sign with us! Instead of freaking out because Manu didn't do the Spurs a favor he didn't have to do (remember: Duncan set that precedent... count your blessings the Spurs have Duncan; not every team has that precedent), how about CELEBRATING the fact that the Spurs FINALLY landed a fairly solid FA who took less to play here?

And you know what? For Belinelli, it's sunk cost, so psychologically, to justify to himself taking less, you know full well he's gonna talk up his decision to every other FA friend of his who will listen... Same principle is at play when you buy that really expensive grill (or purse, for the female members) that brings you marginally more happiness, and then all the sudden you wanna hype it up and convince all your friends to buy the same thing asap, bc it makes if they do it too it makes you feel justified in your expenditure.

It's going to be amusing watching Beli contribute more for the team at $2.5 million/year than our $7 million star SG.
