One thing a competent media would cover is how much the police were doing in GZ's neighborhood to prevent any further break-ins after the string that had happened. Police departments in this country focusing more on revenue grabbing traffic tickets and less on responding to break-ins might have been a theme here. From personal experience living in a city where the PD decided it was no longer worth it to respond to car break-ins, I know how infuriating it is and if that's how things were going in GZ's neighborhood the police forcing the residents to play vigilante have blood on their hands imo.

I didn't follow that case at all, not even in passing imo. But after she was found not guilty, my facebook blew up so I had to google her. I'll admit it, I'd her senseless and that photo just confirms it. But in terms of her being guilty or not, I didn't care. Because that had a gun.idk why you jumped down my throat when I was saying I find Zimmerman's actions more reasonable and less based off pure evil than Mike Vick's.
And yeah, I don't deny that I would profile based off the appearance/race of someone coming down my neighborhood. However, I'd lock my doors, call the police, and shut all the windows after I was done describing the guy. I don't know anyone who sees a 6'2" black guy on their street they think is committing a crime and reacts by leaving the safety of their house/car to follow him.
that's the thing, according to all the evidence zimmerman didn't confront him. martin had a 4 minute gap where he could have escaped if he wanted to. he didnt' want to, he told the he was gonna handle this cracker and came back.
What evidence says Zimmerman didn't confront him? What gz said? Why would he lead some strange man to his house and why would gz go to the back alley where there were no addresses? Beta males everywhere should now strap and get into fights and then kill the other person. They could use the excuse Zimmerman's defense said (not athletic enough lmao).
Let's be real here. First off, the Prosecution sucked. They didn't prove their case, and it was their burden. Zimmerman made everyone believe he felt threatened. The Stand Your Ground law, and Florida's self defense laws made it where Not Guilty was the only option. Everyone can freak out all they want, call this a "Rodney King" thing, but the truth is the laws made this ruling, not a bunch of racist people. Zimmerman never should have gotten out of his car, and he shouldn't have pulled the trigger (unless he genuinely feared for his life). But Florida laws got him off, and anyone who's saying the ruling would have been different if GZ was black and Trayvon was white didn't pay attention.
Get the over it already. Unless you are the parents and family and friends of Trayvon, you need to stop ing. You didn't lose your son like his parents did. Stop your ing.

I see where you're coming from on this, but in her situation, authorities are saying she initiated the instance, and pointed the gun not only at her husband, but also his two sons before firing the shot into the ceiling, where another kid was in the room above, where the bullet went. Again, she was probably scared, and I'm not defending anyone, but if she initiated, and she did point her gun at those two kids, that's where Florida's 10-20 law goes into place.
Violence isn't the answer. Zimmerman should have instead proceeded to fun martins girl while he was workin to buy her a new purse, tbh
