When they went with that whiny voiced midget got with the troglodyte face, I knew that was one facet of the movie I was going to despise. Whoever was the casting director for this movie needs to suck start a shotgun.
Yeah his casting was a red flag for me. I wanted an older, seasoned Luthor.

2 things of note in this movie if batman has no problem straight up murdering people the joker should be dead. Number 2 I know what they're trying to do but why do the other meta human already have logos in lex's files.

well, the upcoming batman movie or even suicide squad could answer that. all we know now is batman has finally reached a breaking point where killing is always an option

Loved Affleck as Batman. He is the bright spot of that cluster. I think Suicide Squad will do well. But this is a Batman we really haven't seen on screen before, which is refreshing

word. Affleck imo brought out the core values of frank miller's bruce wayne, so dark, so gritty. ive been waiting for this version for the longest time, Nolan/bale came really close but Affleck/Terrio finally slayed it.

Movie has its flaws, but its not as bad as it's made put to be, and I'm not even a Snyder fan. Ihad the same conversation about batman having reached his breaking point when it comes to killing.

Only thing I would say it lighten the eff up. Very very heavy movie.. I mean batman, fine, but we're talking about superman here.

I think it has to somewhat mirror modern times. This world is messed up, dark and crazy. I think that the movie should reflect the times.

That's exactly what is was, including blurring all the lines between good and evil. Like questioning even those who are trying to do good.

Just one of the many problems with the movie. Batman had no problem branding his victims, but refused to brand Lex?

Maybe it was Supes death that effected him? Don't know just a thought.

I agree with most the stuff here. Affleck was good as Batman, Cavil still sucked as Superman.

Superman DIED and I didnt even ing care. When Lex Luthor called his creation "Doomsday" I thought "Oh...superman's gonna die....we hardly even knew him."

Just watched it. Loved it. The dream sequence was one of my favorite parts. Tells what's really going on long-term. Wonder Woman and Batman were great. Felt like I was actually reading DC graphic novel. Loved Wonder Woman's entrance in the Doomsday scene. I would have used a different Luthor interpretation, but they went with the Lex Jr. version which was ok. But I really enjoyed this movie. Critics were way off on this movie.

Saw it for the second time and I definitely loved it even more. This is coming from a huge Marvel fan boy, but to date I think this bests every Marvel movies IMO.

I can see the first Avengers being better, but I enjoyed this movie much more than Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, both Thors (even though the first Thor was really good), the first Captain America, Ant Man, and the second Avengers. I liked Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Guardians of the Galaxy and loved the Winter Soldier so I put my enjoyment with those movies up there with this movie.

What's your opinion on the dream sequence? Alot of critics hated it because they felt it had no bearing on the movie, but it's obvious to the non-casual fan what it really means for the future of DC movies.

I don't think critics were way off. Pacing wasnt that great. Supeeman got zero character development. Then him and Batman only fight for about 20 seconds. Then they are friends.

His character was already developed in the previous movie. We already know what he stood for based on Man of Steel. This movie needed to introduce the other characters. I do think Superman could have showed more personality, but he always gets overshadowed by Batman who's more interesting.

Batman doesn't have the power to sustain a long fight with Superman without kryptonite which is the only way he has a chance he has. Superman knows he could easily destroy Batman but doesn't want to first because he's human, and he needs him to find his mom. Plus, using Lois Lane and the name Martha to stop Batman from killing him was unexpected.

I never felt bored during the movie. I think everything led up well to the Batman/Superman fight and final fight with Doomsday. But mainly, this move was a springboard to future movies by bringing in Wonder Woman, showing the meta human file, and Batman's dream sequence with Superman being controlled by Darkseid helping him build Apokolips on Earth.

Yet Batman has no problem killing at all until he hears Superman's mom has the same name. This after beint inches away from killing superman, and decides to let the alien who could destroy earth live because he says Martha. The scene with the Flash, Aquaman should have been an after credit scene. Smh. This movie was really more about Batman and Wonderwoman than Superman.
