Dunno, it seems like this thread might have less than 29% thumbs up...
It wasn't just the name Martha. Lois Lane had alot to do with it as well.
But anyway, I didn't like how Superman was portrayed either. Too God-like instead of what we saw in Man of Steel.
But 29% on RT is ridiculous. Way too low especially when movies like Avengers 2 and Iron Man 3 are 70%.

Remember Rotten Tomatoes reviews must be over 6/10 for it to ripe. Moveis like Iron Man 3, which i did not like at all, were far more entertaining than this disaster. Being a Batman fan, they got the character so wrong. In fact they got Superman a little wrong, lex totally wrong. Ding dong ding dong ding dong. Seriously. The script was a mess, sub plots were dismissed before it was finalised, CGI was bad, especially doomsday, Lex working out Bruce was Batman and knowing Bruce hated superman, he then sent letters to bruce to increase the hate? Really? And when has Gotham City been across the river from Metropolis?
Overall, bad movie.
Ironman 3 is probably one of the worst Marvel to date and that was a bigger mess.
Iron Man 3 was bad but far better than this mess. Firstly, Batman spent 2 years plotting to murder superman. Seriously, that is character flaw that cannot be forgiven. Lex wants superman dead because superman has god like powers, so lex creates a god like monster to kill him? Oh and before Bruce was about to slay Superman, he doesn't because their mother has the same name. And then decides he will go and save the mum of the man he was about to slay, instead of superman who would have done it a lot quicker. I could go on, but this was the worst DC film since for a long time. Editing, rushed scenes (desert dream scene was badly choreographed), terrible CGI, which isn't something can say about Iron Man 3. At least the dialogue in Iron Man 3 had good written dialogue, which Robert downy Jnr carried. Cannot say the same for BvS.
rofl biggest dropoff from friday to saturday.
b-b-b-b-b-b-b-but it's dark! and the opposite of marvel!!

on the contrary though, I like how they portrayed batman and supes. im sotired of the boy scout version of these two. just wished the editing wasn't all over the place since it does have all the elements right in front of you to be an epic movie.
It would have been a great movie had they not tried to do too much. It was too long, and they made Lex a crazy spaz got. Bryan Cranston should have played Lex.
Oh, and Superman can sense when Lois is drowning, but not when his mom was in trouble?![]()
Bruh - Lois was relatively close to him and he knew she was around. He had no idea Lex would be going after his mom at work.
^ there was a lot of plot holes in the story like how Lex knew who batman was, and then also pushed him to want to break his number 1 rule. But Clarkes mum being kidnapped without Superman knowing isn't one of them. But take this for logic. So Superman is getting beaten to death by Bruce and was about to be slay by him (cant believe they turned Batman into a murderer.) Anyway and after Bruce decided not to because Superman had a mum who was about to get executed. Instead of Superman going to rescue his mum which would have been a lot quicker, he then trust the man who was about to kill who has to change suits, fly over and do the rescue. Lets get this straight, Superman trusted the man who was about to kill him. Pathetic.
Batman never kills...not in the video game, not in the films, not in the comics. Havent seen it yet but Batman fan since I was a kid and it makes no sense.
Appears even more then the usual amount of casting couch shenanigans was done for this Flopbuster.
Plus, right when they first meet up for the *battle*, Superman tells Afflec (oh excuse me, Batman) that they need to team up. He only tries to tell him once, and he starts defecting Batmans attacks. Then we have to drone thru a 5 minute battle and it's not until Batman has his foot on SMans throat as you mentioned about ready to kill him, that SMan can barely get the words out "We need to team up" -paraphrasing.
So Superman cannot get the word out to Batman before the battle, but he can get the words out (and Batman is convinced) once near death.
It.finally.ended.
Why couldn't they have just had Bat and S team up at that time without the gawd awful battle? As if we had not seen enough senseless plotless violence to that point.![]()
This movie was just fine. Anyone who doesn't like it because it was too long or because of nitty gritty comic book details is just a stupid nerd with no attention span.
Seriously, anyone who hates this movie better have hated the force awakens as well because that movie's plot was 10x's more nonsensical than this.
Can one of you technos tell me why some pictures post but others X out?
Seriously, I keep reading this from people all over the netThat scene was never really hard to process.
That was their common ground. Thats when Batman/Bruce finally saw Superman for the first time as a 'man' with feelings and concerns for a his mother just like him, not just an 'alien'.
I thought it was one of the best part of the movie. It gave me a George Miller feel. I'm stoked to see how it will all played out in the near future.
I wish WB wouldn'tchange the tones in this universe. If they want to add a few more quips to satisfy the critics, then so be it. Clean up editing, sure, but change the overall tone? No, I hope they don't change it. BvS is on pace for a billion dollars (though we'll soon find out fi the movie has legs after this weekend, anything more than 45% in drop may not bode well for them) they dont need to cater to critics at this point. They can still be a very successful franchise with or without the critics.
I didn't like force awakens, but because the plot was a remake of the new hope, and the acting was pretty ordinary. But this movie is far far far worst story wise. Look some of these holes. Lex blows up the government building for the hearing to make the world hate superman, but it was released soon after that it was the guy in the wheelchair who was the bomber.
Also, this is a bad one, Lex doesn't like superman because he is a god like being. So he creates a god like being to kill him.Which makes the whole plan to use batman to kill superman redundant, unless bad cgi doomsday was a backup plan which he was able to form within a few days or hours, who knows. And lex knew it would obey him. Please. Stupid stupid film. Oh and if you are Lex with all that money, you wouldn't transfer an insanely valued rock on a damn ship. Also, Superman stops batman from chashing the bad guys in the car, then s off.
Transformers were successful, but terrible.
Regardless of your thoughts of George Miller's Batman, his Batman never went out with a 2 year plan to murder someone else. Seriously flawed.
