The Lakers need a 3 time MVP, perhaps
At $9m a season for a roughly 40 year old player, the Lakeshow made a big gamble when they acquired Capt Nash.
How far can he really take them along with team-player Gasol? Will he be healthy?
Does it really matter since everything will likely go to when cancer comes back?
Discuss.

sadly, prime Nash with Gasol at his current state and Achilles sitting on the bench is at least a second round team. They definitely wouldn't be Swept. but Nash is older and away from the Suns training staff.
however, I still think he's got enough goods to give the Lakers a compe ive season.....that is until Rapist comes back, hogs all the shots, kills the chemistry and fans once again blame it on Gasol or Nash tbh.
We all know they aren't better than San Antonio, OKC, Housotn, Clips, Warriors, Grizzlies. they have to fight for 2 playoff spots. With a healthy Dirk, the Mavs should be able to get in to one of those spots. So its the Lakers vs Nuggets, Jazz, Blazers, Wolves, Pelicans, Kings for the last spot.
with nash running the offense, he really could give them some production.
kobe is their pg so nash can't properly play his game
If this was 09-10 Nash, I'd say 6-7 seed with Kirby being his Joe Johnson, but the is broken down from injuries, a Nash-led team finishes 8-11th with the current roster. If he plays more than 50 games, it will be a shock to me, tbh.
Nash will develop Gout by midseason..or alzheimers
I think Dallas has a chance even if Dirk isnt 100%.
Monta Ellis, Blair, Larkin (how good is this guy really?),Ledo, Fab Melo...
So assuming those 6 teams are better than the Lakers, they are gonna have a hard time getting to the POs. The Blazers and the Pelicans could explode any minute.
PD: Hard to imagine how the NBA will look in the next 2-3 years.
