    Former Sox hero Curt Shilling has said he is in remission from the cancer he has been treated for
    since Feb. No word on the type of cancer he had.........

    The Sox are likely to miss the playoffs entirely after coming off a championship. How is that not loss on you? It's pathetic.

    They should start making moves now instead of waiting around all year long like 2011. Its clear this team will be a bottom dwellers this whole season so why not clean house.

    The Athletics have acquired ace pitcher Jon Lester from the Red Sox in a deal that will send slugger Yoenis Cespedes to Boston, a source told ESPNBoston.com's Gordon Edes.

    Oakland also will receive outfielder Jonny Gomes in the deal, according to the source.
