SD played it conservative by punting it back to manning. Getting the on side kick was their only shot. Trying to stop Denver on Defense was a bad move. Bad call there. They never got the ball back.
i think everyone will be pullin for the manning/brady winner...
but on the other hand... russell is from NC State so we'll see
It wasn't that bad of a call, just that the defense ed up on 3 & 17...
The AFC champ will win the Super Bowl.
They had a 3rd and 17 so they had a great chance of stopping them. It's much easier to stop a team at the end because they'll run it a couple of times to waste some time.

Conservative call. Bad call. They are trying to stop the best offense in the NFL from getting a couple of first downs. SD was in a position where they could not play it conservatively.
Peyton Manning and that entire offense were superb on those final 2 drives, tbh. Denver was showing their Heatles side in all phases. They coasted a little too much, but they woke up once it got down to a single possession and finished the game.
They didn't do it. Denver has too many weapons. You try to get a long shot on side kick. SD was in a desperate position and that is what they needed to do.
Tbh I'm a little worried because if they stop our running game we don't really have that many options. Edelman and Amendola?

kind of hoping it's not, as I've said in another thread. Favorite team vs favorite non-Niner. I'd hate to put Manning down like that Old Yeller style, but least if Niners and Broncos get there, that means seahawks and cheatriots didn't, so that's a good thing.

^Agreed. Chargers got another 4 or so years of the Philbilly being great, as well as some nice pieces. With a few good moves they can contend.

Silver lining is that this is only year one of the rebuild, and we were a couple plays and decent playcalling away from the AFC le game, tbh.... Keenan Allen is ing incredible, thanks Jerruh for picking Terrance Williams over him
