The Beatles are the most overrated group ever. That doo-wop you posted has no soul.
Don't even argue Led Zeppelin is better than the Beatles.

Here is some sweet soul. Notice no need for over powering guitar, song stands on its vocals, great background vocals add to the fullness blending in with other instruments other than guitar. Sweet Soul uses horns and strings and vocals all mix together to make it smooth. Guitar is more of a complementary background instrument when used and doesn't become over bearing like it does in rock.

Never understood why people see playing wild guitar is so appealing. Songs with no melody full of tension with the guitar and inferior vocals suck.
I like the guitar players who have mastered the guitar like Eric has. He is of the first guitar players who could finesse the guitar and master all forms:

Again I never understood the fascination for guitar driven songs which is rock based. Guitar becomes too over bearing and annoying in rock.

Do you like how Clapton plays it?

How about how it's used in Stairway to Heaven?

A beautiful song with Ann's beautiful voice.

Agree with WC, ive always loved Clapton towards the end of this song to me is his greatest Clapton solo. Personally, I've always thought Jimmy Paige was the most gifted i've ever seen. He can do it all. That

Hate the song but this is just a watered down weaker version of the original. 8 minutes is too long, it drags over and over and over the same chords then goes into typical wild tension packed rock based guitar at around 6:00 minutes then closes with weaker vocals then the original.

Just listen to the original if you like this song. This version is not better.

Nothing will beat the original. Still, I like Ann's remake of it better than anyone else.

Not bad but they are to new anything after 1998 doesn't count, and besides they sound to much INXS wannabees with a hint of nine inch nails.

    where is the "originality"?

Don't even argue Led Zeppelin is better than the Beatles.
    You can't compare the two.

here is why.......it's not fair or logical to mix bands from different decades and besides the Beatles have scoreboard over any band after them. They was first! Led Zeppelin in many interviews and do entaries have said "The Beatles" were a huge influence in there music.

But your en led to your "personal" opinion. Although I hate to say this Led Zeppelin actually bombed when they came to America and got booed by many.

The music magazines said they sucked no one understood them.

But when the Beatles first played in America the floor was moist with the sweet smell of pussy juice.

I won't say he didn't have talent. Opera singers have talent but I would not listen to them.

    Sickening redneck rock.
One of the 300 songs classic rock stations play over and over again. just sickening

Rock is inferior to old soul.
I'd rather listen to horns and strings and better melodies, great background vocals that often are the hook of the song and far superior vocals than what rock offers (guitar- I don't care about the guitar as the lead instrument masking inferior vocals).
You just need to finish growing old and die. You are obviously one of those 'YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN TYPE' 'THAT DISTORTION HURTS MY EARS AND THIS PEPPER IS BURNING MY TONGUE.'

The fact that you lump it all together inot one thing where 'guitar' drowns out vocals just means you are tone deaf. Look up James Maynard and tell me the guitarist on his albums 'covers' inferior lyrics.

Never said the pop tune I posted was soul. I said I like soul but pop tunes with strong hook melodies like the one I posted I also like.

    You just can't hear Zeppelin.
