It should be noted that Green excels on the second night of B2Bs. He's averaging 17/5/2 per 36 with an ORtg of 126 and a DRtg of 99 with 0 days rest. And before anyone claims otherwise, Green isn't just chucking more to get those numbers. His 55 3P% with no rest is by far his highest. He's obviously a big part of the Spurs being able to rest the Big Three so much while still being able to secure the best record.
Green has not stood out the whole season but the last couple of game he and Kawhi are coming out and playing great. This last game it seems Pop told him hey your a starter so start being a leader out there and be aggressive and he is doing just that.
actually both kawhi and green have been absolute studs since their injuries, being the biggest reason for the mega streak. Somehow the stats don't really tell that since games were mostly finished by the end of the first quarter. Both have been putting stats all across the board, coupled with amazing D though. What the spurs become without these two "role players" is very clearly seen in the stretch when they were injured. Manu is obviously the wildcard here..
Green's increased his scoring by a full 4ppg since the All-Star break (7.7 to 11.7). That's an unreal increase. He's definitely racheting up his game. Ironically, though, he's been a constant 2.2-2.4 ap36 guy his whole career regardless of which splits are used.

It was the Reggie Miller Effect. Once Miller called Green a "one-trick pony," Danny took off. I swear that man's powers of being wrong can bend the very fabric of the universe.
His vertical and release point on his jumpshot looked terrific tonight. It reminded me of Durant tbh
It helps when Pop has patience with him, too..I don't know why he has a shorter leash than many inferior players before him(and even presently)..
Adding the one-dribble pull-up from anywhere on the floor, along with the floater, could pay dividends, going forward..

Such a difference maker for his game..I hated that the Spurs weren't running more in transition in the Mavs series when they were shadowing Green and limiting his half-court looks..once they started running more, Green exploded..
