I feel like Texas will end up with Jefferson, Hill and Boyd. Great thing about Jefferson is he'll commit somewhere in December, and if it's Texas, you could be looking at a fun six weeks until National Signing Day. I think DT Daylon Mack will take an official to UT in that scenario (especially if A&M's defense continues to be poor).

I've seen other people mention Jefferson could be for Strong what Cory Redding was for Mack and I like that comparison. He commands that type of respect from his peers and everyone will notice when he makes his final decision. Hopefully that will result in major momentum for UT.

In the back of my mind, I am hoping for this and feel that it is possible... but things have to play out right over the course of our season for it to actually happen. (and it will probably be about more than just wins and losses).

So where do you think he's going then if wins aren't going to be a big pull and your team's defense is suspect?

The only reason I say he is an Aggy lean is because Sumlin has all the momentum right now, but things could change. We will see, I guess.

He's close with a lot of the current Aggie commits so that helps a lot. Seems like a guy that would be willing to do his own thing though. And as TFloss said, Daylon Mack is a wildcard. He seems to be looking for a reason to not come to A&M one day, then loves us the next. All things being equal, I think Jefferson chooses A&M.

That's good. There are definitely a lot of questions marks at the WR position.

Telling you guys, the WR position was the deepest on the team before we lost two idiots. It's not deep any more but the starters are really good and really experienced. If two of the inexperienced guys step up it will again be the deepest position on the team.

The only position I'm worried about is QB, we keep Ash healthy we should win the majority of our games.

With that said, Oline needs to be men and own the trenches, the good news is Texas will not face a single front 7 as good as the one they face every day in practice, the bad news is the ones they do face only have to get the best of them on one play and we lose our QB for the year.

I will go on record and say the Texas defense will be one of the deepest and best in the country. It's pretty evident that the only reason for their suckage last year was Diaz, once he left the squad began to come together. This years defense is more talented and better coached. It has great senior leadership and has about 4 true impact players.

Strong said that he hasn't determined a suspension length for senior offensive tackle Desmond Harrison, junior wide receiver Daje Johnson, and senior safety Josh Turner. In regards to Johnson, Strong was asked about whether the speedster "gets it" and merely said, "That's his decision." Hardly a ringing endorsement from the coach, suggesting that Johnson still hasn't turned the corner with his maturity and work ethic.

Four-star Contra Costa College defensive end Takkarist McKinley has locked in an official visit to Missouri. The 6-3, 250 pounder told 247Sports this weekend that he will be visiting the Tigers for their Oct. 11 SEC matchup against Georgia. It is the third official visit that McKinley has locked in. He is also scheduled to visit Texas and Oklahoma on back to back weekends in January.
