Per source, #Stanford has offered the DBs job to former #Texas asst. Duane Akina. Interesting details, here. http://goo.gl/T1j6T3

Charless_94: Y'all stay tuned on twitter today y'all gone be surprised what's gonna happen later today .... But good morning
Interesting tweet from Rowlett DE Charles Omenihu who has been rumored to be the next potential UT commit.
Former UT K Russell Erxleben sentenced to 7.5 years in jail:

DE Charles Omenihu of Rowlett has committed to Texas.

A&M DT and former 2013 UT target Isaiah Golden arrested for possession of marijuana. Also arrested A&M LB Darian Claiborne. http://www.khou.com/home/Police-Aggi...246923071.html
Slap on the wrist, Sumlim will probably suspend them for ten plays.
Two arrests in two months for Claiborne.
"The two passengers in the back seat, including a highly-recruited wide receiver, were let go."
I wonder who the recruit was?!
24/7 reporting five-star QB Josh Rosen of Bellflower, CA will make his commitment on March 20th.
Texas is in his Top 4 but he says there hasn't been contact since Strong was hired.
Completely overlooked that sentence. Any WR recruit of note that was visiting? The line that most caught my attention was Claiborne telling cops that "they" were ruining his football career.
I saw it on another site, they said it was Speedy Noil.
Akward that I'm answering my own question but here's the answer:
According to Brazos County PD Speedy Noil was in the car with Golden and Claiborne, but was not arrested. #Aggies
Update on DE Charles Omenihu after his commitment to Texas (24/7):
"I'm excited," Omenihu said. "My excitement was really high on Saturday when I was first there. I loved it down there. I loved the coaches and I loved everything about what they are doing with the program. There was nothing else I had to do."
"Talking to Coach Strong and Coach Rumph, they showed me they really want me and they really want to use me and that I'm a big talent. And they want to use me early. That's the thing about it, they want to use me early and because of that there was no other thing I had to wait for. They had everything I could ask for."
"They want us to be the best we can be on and off the field. They really show that. I love the personality of all the coaches and it is easy to talk to them."
Sorry *awkward* for those spelling bee majors.
CB Keivon Ramsey of Converse Judson reviews the first Junior Day (24/7):
“The trip was real nice,” said Ramsey. “It surprised me to be honest with you. Going in, I expected it to be a little boring. It wasn’t boring at all. It surprised me. I liked it a lot.”
“The new staff was great,” he said. “They talk a lot. Not in a bad way, but in a good way. I liked Coach Strong and Coach Bedford. They were very cool to me. Really, the staff as a whole was great.”
“Baylor, Tulsa, Texas Tech and TCU have offered me up to this point,” said Ramsey. “Coming into the visit I had Baylor on top, but the junior day changed things. I was thinking about it and Texas is right up there, if not ahead, with Baylor for me.”
Update on WR John Humphrey of League City Clear Falls after his trip to Austin (24/7):
“They didn’t say anything about an offer yet as far as giving me one,” said Humphrey. “They’re going to continue to evaluate and we’ll go from there. I’m hoping it comes soon though. I definitely want one from Texas.”
“Overall my trip was a great one,” Humphrey told Horns247. “I loved it. Getting to talk to all the coaches, seeing the field and facilities, meeting some players, it was just a real fun day that blew me away.”
“My favorites now are Texas, Baylor and Notre Dame all at the top of the list,” he said. “Those are the schools I’m the most interested in.”
Quotes from RB Tristian Houston of Galena Park North Shore (24/7):
“Unfortunately I didn’t get an offer like I wanted,” said Houston. “That’s okay though. They said they will watch me closely a little bit more and I guess we’ll go from there. It’s something that I hope happens in the future. I can see myself playing at the University of Texas.”
“They’re very much the top school,” Houston said. “Right at the top. No. 1 for me. That’s why I want to get that offer. Like I said, I can see myself playing for Texas.”
From what all the players seem to be saying it sounds like Strong is one of a motivator and communicator. It sounds like expectations are high for the players and coaches. UT has been missing that kind of accountability and bringing in students and coaches with that kind of thinking has me excited about the future.
Love seeing words like "organized" and "direct" from the recruits.
Inside Texas saying Patrick Suddes will end up at Arizona State.
Like this kid a lot. I understand slow-playing him for now, but I hope he gets an offer before next season. He's got a lot of impressive traits.
Former director of player personnel. The young guy we hired from Bama a year ago.
AKA One of the people leaking info to the pay sites.......allegedly.
