Love old Chipper tweets.
Dude still gets hammered on OBs for the Pac-12 stuff.
What's this regarding?
Reads like a kid who is sick of the process.
I don't think he's happy about things being reported since his A&M visit, especially from reporters who he hasn't even spoken with.
Speaking of LB Malik Jefferson, he spoke with Inside Texas over lunch and they feel A&M has a slight lead currently even though he didn't come out and say it. Good news is they don't think it's anything insurmountable and he's adamant he will visit Texas before making a decision. It's basically come down to Strong beating Sumlin straight up.
Texas fans thinks this is Hamm, Hamm says "No clue (what's it's about). I haven't talked to him. No need to. He's not going to give anything up.". Hamm was quick to throw it at Chip Brown, saying that "Coincidentally after Chip Brown posted an interview with him?".
The only other "interviews" I can think about is one he did with William Wilkerson of HornsDigest on tuesday/wednesday. But that article doesn't have any quotes from him. Malik did tell Wilkerson his top 5, but Wilkerson would say anything else outside that Texas was in it. Not anything Malik can be upset about. It could be about a long update by a poster on Orangebloods, who apparently is a coach/teacher at Poteet HS, that's been posted on many Texas boards.
EDIT: Floss covered it in one line![]()
Hamm said during a chat on the A&M 24/7 site, that Jeffersons mother told him, that Malik most likely would visit Texas one last time.
As a Texas fan, I'm banking on Jefferson's parents siding with Strong when it comes down to crunch time.
Malik Jefferson favorited these two tweets. I think it's fair to think that he was referring to the Hamm piece from earlier this week.
That's horrible, tbh
So we have Hamm saying A&M's got a clear lead for Malik, Nahlin saying it's a slight A&M lead, Wilkerson saying it's a slight Texas lead and that coach/teacher at Poteet saying it's a decent Texas lead. Then we had Malik call out Hamm for misrepresenting where Malik stands. Did I get that all right?
I think so, but I didn't see Malik call out Hamm.
I believe he just retweeted an A&M fan apologizing for Hamm's reporting.
In case there was any doubt.
Something I've been wondering, maybe one of the Aggies on here can answer. Who would Malik overtake if he committed to A&M? Alaka and Walker will be sop res and Washington, the team's fourth-leading tackler despite having missed a few games, will be a junior.
West Mesquite's head coach
Texas lost this game and I think Chris Gilbert had the longest run from scrimmage for UT, 96 yards.
The post-visit reports from A&M's 247 site had a similar tone for both of those guys.
Great video of Marcus Luttrell, the Navy SEAL from "Lone Survivor", giving a pre-game speech to Alabama:

I'd like to see Texas grab one more QB and let there be a wide open compe ion between four guys in the spring.
QB Matthew Merrick of Irving Cistercian Prep has committed to Texas.
As of now, he will count towards the 2016 numbers.
