Clemson's 24/7 site reporting that DC Brent Venables will not be going to A&M.
Looks like Uncle Luke is #TeamCharlieStrong
He is telling kids to go to Texas and play for Strong

Bo Pelini fired at Nebraska.
Texas defensive line will have a slight drop off next year but not by much. Vasser will bring some excellent upper-class talent to an already talented Dline. I don't see where Texas will have much of a drop overall on defense, even with losing both Brown and Reed we still bring back 4 solid DTs in Jackson, Ridgeway, Boyette and Nelson and we bring back Shiro Davis, Nashon Hughes, and Caleb Bluiett.
Linebacker position will lose Tevin Jackson, Demarco Cobb, Jordan Hicks and Steve Edmond. However we bring back Peter Jenkins, Dalton Santos, Tim Cole, and we have redshirted guys like Cameron Hampton and I think Deoundrei Davis. There is lots of room for some recruits to step in a get some minutes.
Defensive Backs lose Diggs and Mykkele Thompson, but we bring back Duke Thomas, Jason Hall, Antwan Davis, Bryson Echoles, and Dylan Haines, along with several really good redshirts like John Bonney, Edwin Freeman, and Jermaine Roberts.
Overall this side of the ball should be, considered a reload more than a loss.
The offensive side of the ball is a much different story.
Good site to keep up with the annual coaching carousel.
-Auburn dismissed their defensive coordinator, Ellis Johnson

Think LB D. Davis is one of the players we lost in the overhaul.
Looks like he did change that official to December 6th...
Per OrangeBloods, UT coaches will be doing an in-home visit with ATH DeAndre McNeal tomorrow.
No word yet on LB Malik Jefferson other than he's looking at an official visit on December 13th.
Yes, I believe I remember hearing that as well. And that's a tough loss.
Wasn't Nashon Hughes recruited as a linebacker? If so, I wonder if he will get a shot at returning to that position?
According to 24/7, Coach Vaughn and Coach Koenning did an in-home visit with WR John Burt yesterday.
Update on 2016 OL Parker Boudreaux of Orlando, FL after receiving his Texas offer (24/7):
“I’m pretty excited!” Boudreaux told Horns247. “There’s a great atmosphere over there with some new great coaches that are going to turn the program into a top 10 team. The fans are already showing me a lot of love.”
“They watched my film as a staff and said that it was a no-brainer and that they had to offer me,” he said. “They said I’m a swing guy. That I can play multiple positions, but they would like me at tackle because of my athleticism for an OL.”
“I’m pretty interested,” he said. “It’s always a great program with good people. With Coach Strong in there now they are going to their program around.”
“I’m going to talk to my parents tonight about visiting and all of that,” he said.
Also from 24/7, Coach Vaughn will check on the following guys while he's in Florida:
TE, Devonaire Clarington, Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL)
CB, Deandre Baker, Northwestern (Miami, FL)
CB, Davante Davis, Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL)
S, Khalid McGee, Northwestern (Miami, FL)
Give me a full team of this type. I go full out rooting for kids like this and giving back to the University when I see this as I also benefitted a great deal from what UT gave me.

CB Xavier Lewis was scheduled to be in Austin for the Thanksgiving game against TCU, but didn't show up. A later visit will probably be re-scheduled.
