Another update on LB Malik Jefferson, but these are his mother's words (Scout):

-said she'd be "surprised" if Malik sticks to his December 19th timeline because he has a lot to figure out
They said before that his parents would make the call for him if he couldn't. I guess that's out the window?

EDIT: Found it. It was 247's report from Nov. 7.

Jefferson's father told 247Sports recently that if his son can't make a decision by the Dec. 19 commitment date then his parents will likely make it for him.

Another update on LB Malik Jefferson, but these are his mother's words (Scout):

-she mentioned A&M is not the leader and there is no leader, but Strong "needs to bring his A game this weekend"

    -LSU isn't really a factor

-UCLA is making a nice impression on him

-said she'd be "surprised" if Malik sticks to his December 19th timeline because he has a lot to figure out
Mom says Strong needs to bring his A game...

So I need to believe it's possible for a good kid to emerge out of a privileged uterus.
Is it possible to use a cliche that makes sense?

Does she want cash or a money order, will they play table tennis, will he have a mint waiting on his pillow...

Did the article shed light on how far out he could potentially push his decision? Being he will enroll mid-term he's obviously already close to the deadline with current announcement date.
She didn't say, but he couldn't push it back by much if he wants to enroll in January.

I thought it was an odd comment when I read it.

Shawn Watson and GA QB assistant Riley Dodge has both followed UAB QB Cody Clements on Twitter. Not that it means much, but now we know that Clements is on the radar. Clements are free to transfer to any program without having to sit out a year. Clements originally committed to Washington State out of HS, but ended up at a JUCO after being a backup for two seasons. He will be a senior next year.

Scout also mentioned the in-home visit with Coach Jean-Mary was scheduled for 30 minutes, but they ended up talking for three or four hours.

Well, you're right! I saw BON report it to begin with and I just kind of ran with it. My Bad. I didn't really read into his account (I should have noticed his five tweets though).

Beaty could be their best recruiter on their staff so he'll be a big loss.

Yes, getting that guy out of the DFW area is great for UT.

Another note from Inside Texas...TE Devonaire Clarington is transferring to his original high school, Miami Southridge, in an attempt to straighten out his transcripts for college. For anyone that doesn't know, this is his fourth high school including Southridge the first time, so needless to say he has some issues. Report says he's all Texas but it's going to be difficult to get him into school.

Per Inside Texas, UT and Coach Wick have circled back to OL Christian Gaylord of Baldwin City, KS now that Nebraska has switched coaches. He mentioned he hasn't had a chance to talk to new coach Mike Riley yet, but once he does he'll figure out if he wants to visit UT.

The knock on Charlie with Malik's recruitment is he hasn't been as proactive as necessary, and he's let other UT coaches handle things during the season. So if we assume that Malik's mother is pushing Texas hard, I took that comment as Strong needs to get his together, make Malik feel more comfortable and seal the deal already. That's my opinion, anyway.
