Per 24/7, WR Carlos Strickland of Dallas Skyline had an in-home visit with UT on Sunday night.
Things might start picking up with him along with Wheeler.
Pretty sure he meant those we're schools he has in mind I highly doubt they'll be the only ones to be in contention.
Several sites reporting Tom Hermann is expected to retain Houston defensive coordinator, David Gibbs.
Gibbs' name has been linked to A&M's defensive coordinator position.
@HornSports: A substantial update on #UT football facilities and a recruiting twist worth reading ($) - http://t.co/1aJeVb8Fyy http://t.co/odUljOy4ZW
Anyone have info on these football facility upgrades?
Anxious to see what official visits he sets up.
Awesome. I really like the move. I get the feeling Wheeler is sincerely interested considering we were able to immediately get back into the race after silence for so long.
OL Tyler Moore of Galena Park North Shore has committed to Minnesota.
Welp, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they flip him to ut at this point.
I can only see them announcing to the same school if they announce together.
WR John Harris and LB Jordan Hicks will go pro next year.
Are you saying that they are staying for a additional year?
DC Vance Bedford is a candidate to be the new Colorado State HC, per Yahoo (Pat Forde).
Everything I've heard/seen indicates Oregon OC Scott Frost is most likely the next HC at CSU.
Vance doesn't seem like the type to leave. Loyalty and DBU are too important to him. IIRC, he turned down Florida to coach at Louisville with Strong because Strong asked him first.
They will not be back to UT and are entering their names into the NFL Draft.
^^^they would have had to apply for an extra year by medical redshirt so it was not a given that either would have had the chance to return.
You guys probably remember the swedish QB/ATH Kevin Dillman who transferred from California to Denton Guyer and committed to Nebraska. New Nebraska HC Mike Riley just pulled his offer.
Five-star QB Jarrett Stidham could decide between Baylor, Oregon this week

He's a Baylor lock imo.
My bad. They will not be coming back to UT for 2015.
Per 247, 4-star CB Mark Fields decommitted from South Carolina.
“I just got off the phone with (Game s cornerbacks) coach Grady Brown and told him,” Fields said. “There’s too much uncertainty. It’s something I don't feel like I should get into. Coach Brown told me that he understands and if I ever want to come back I’m still the No. 1 guy on their board.”
“They have a new head coach (Charlie Strong) who has a four-year contract so I know he will be there,” Fields said of Texas. “Their defense is on the rise.”
He'll visit Clemson Jan. 17 and then plans to visit us on one of the next two weekends.
