Fine with either/or going tbqh.
Just a guess, but if there was a choice, Hagen would go. Not Price.
I agree it would be Hagen. I just find it comical that Malik may pick A&M without a DC in place and then they'll fire his position coach after he signs. Ol' Sumlin can recruit.
And can't coach![]()
WR Christian Kirk to A&M:

Great pickup. Him + Noil is scary. I'm looking forward to the early season "This is different; this is Air Raid with NFL talent" comments that we saw at the beginning of this year.
amazing how one player can have such an impact on recruiting................ considering that one player didn't even want to go to that school.............
Here is what I could find on him:
He's 6'8, 245lbs and runs a 4.6 40-yard, according to his coach.
He plays DE, TE and kicks for his team.
He's only been playing football since August, so he's raw. Incredibly raw. He's still learning the rules in football.
His junior tape:

There is no doubt that he fits Strong's DE recruiting philosophy with athletic freaks and tons of upside.
Four new (the first four) Crystal Ball selections for TE Devonaire Clarington today. All four towards Texas, one by Ryan Bartow (National Recruiting Analyst) and one by Bobby Burton. The other two is from a Notre Dame and a Ohio State guy. Bartow switched his from LSU to Texas.
It might have something to do with Miami signing the #1 JUCO TE today.
I was under the impression that Clarington was a lost cause as he won't qualify.
OrangeBloods saying TE Camrin Knight of Tallahassee, FL will visit UT in January.
He will likely come in with teammate, WR John Burt.
Hamm delivers again...
- Kris Boyd, who many thinks is a Baylor/FSU/Texas battle, is once again leaning towards A&M, due to Christian Kirks commitment yesterday.
- The only reason A&M hasn't made DeShon Elliott a part of their class is because of off-field issues with him. He claim off-field issues, and Kendall Sheffield, is the hold up on Boyd as well.
I call BS on both. But has anyone heard anything regarding Elliott and potential off-field issues? Just out of curiosity.
Also, Burton dropped another "mystery recruit" yesterday in a chat. He said he hasn't mentioned it or brought it up because he don't think anything will ever materialize from it.
Ok, now..... Jefferson announcement coming in approximately 24 hours.
Guess Hamm's source on first is A&M player Josh Walker who tweeted this yesterday -
Josh_walker20: But Kris just gave me some good news so we straight
I don't think this is an ESPN Insider article. It's a great article by Max Olson. I was surprised he never really wrote any articles about Jefferson, I guess this is why.

A lot of interesting things.

That reads like Malik simply wants an answer from Sumlin on the DC hire and it's a done deal for A&M. Radio silence, though. I still think he'd pick A&M anyway because he loves Sumlin and all of his friends are committed. If it's a bigger issue than most think, then A&M screwed the pooch and gift-wrapped this kid for Texas or UCLA.
A&M 247 is saying it'll be Durkin with Greg Mattison. That almost certainly means Hagen is gone -- so Malik won't know a single one of his coaches. Sounds like a smart move.
On the surface it's re ed, but Malik is so emotionally invested in A&M that I don't think it matters.
We'll know tomorrow.
I agree.
Malik would be a huge get, no doubt. But do you expect A&M to hire a coach based on a single recruit?
Of course not, but the issue as it relates to Malik's recruitment is Sumlin telling him on more than one occasion that it'd be done before his decision. And then you're potentially firing his position coach after he commits. That's a weird situation for the kid to be in, but it shows how much he loves A&M if none of that matters.
