I haven't been this damn excited in a long time! I'm thinking Kris Boyd goes ahead and commits soon!
Time to work on Mack and need Hill to come back around.
I think there is real chance that we can flip Daylon Mack now. Not a huge chance, but it is a realistic possibility now.
I think this will be big for Mack. He's been so back and forth his entire recruitment. Seemingly looking for reasons to decommit. He just lost his area recruiter, has no DC, and he could lose his position coach. Not exactly giving him reasons to stay at this point.
So now be happy and shut the mouth/microwave communication device.
Go to work. That means school. A's and B's in HS don't mean crap now Mr. Business major.
Think he has a chance of starting, as in displacing a current LBacker?
huge get for texas.
big for charlie strong and his coaches, already making in roads in texas in rapid fashion.

Malik and McNeal to TEXAS!! What a day! Glad to know my science was flawed.
I think we all underestimated S DeShon Elliott in all of this.
(Elliotts tweets are protected, so I can't link them)
DeShonElliott_4: "DeAndre Been my bro since little league".
Just get a visit and take it from there.
Maybe, just maybe, Lodge gets over Strong firing Wyatt and they get him back on campus too.
That should solidify Elliott if his commitment was shaky.
Hopefully Lampkin stops looking around now too.
Very nice pickup for Texas. The only thing that could have given Strong and Texas some serious momentum in recruiting is for this to happen tbh. Things could start rolling for Texas now. Sumlin really botched this up by waiting around with the DC hire.
Be interesting to see how this has an affect on Mack and if A&M can get a big name DC to get Malik to start thinking again.
I don't think anybody's logic was flawed; this was one weird recruitment and it's a recruiting miracle for UT.
It seems things changed for Malik on Wednesday night after speaking with Sumlin and then his family sealed the deal.
A good chance, imo.
Well good for him.
I hope he earns a business degree. I hope his parents and staff keep on him about this goal as well.
Taylor Hamm posted this after the announcement.
Jefferson's dad pulled me aside before I left and said A&M was leading the whole way. Apparently the convo with Sumlin on Wednesday night did not go well at all. Malik didn't even talk with Sumlin last night. He said he didn't want to because he knew he wouldn't get the answers he wanted
He is not flipping no matter who they hire -- stop kidding yourself. This was a well thought out decision by the entire family.
It's easy to overreact right now, but this tweet from stud 2017 LB Baron Browning shows how many people had their eyes on this decision:
