The last guy Vance Bedford followed on Twitter is S Calvin Bundage out of Santa Fe (Ok.). His tapes speaks for itself. Might be a linebacker down the road, but I'm impressed. Hope to hear from him regarding Texas.

I'm not so sure. As Floss reported at the top, Texas hasn't contacted Newsome since Koenning was fired. I personally dont think we have room for Newsome. He could have easily jumped on and had a spot in December but I feel he has waited too long and lost his spot. Too many other options still on the table in positions of need. Really don't need more WRs imo.
Just a few weeks ago I wouldn't have imagined that we would be in such a good position that we would might have to pass on Newsome. Crazy

Never know though. Maybe we'll be like Tennessee and recruit a whole new team in 2 cycles..lol

I agree. I suspect he was going to narrow it to UCLA and Tennessee and that's why he was mad the other day when the news broke that Mora was interviewing for an NFL gig. Or maybe it was going to be us and UCLA. I don't know, but I do think there's a chance he's lost his spot. We'll know soon.

Heard that Scout is reporting that Burt has finally decommited. About time and I am glad. Hope he ends up somewhere that makes him happy.

I still wouldn't go for another receiver unless its someone that is cant miss. Need QB and OL way more than WR.

Agreed. I think Strong told him we weren't waiting until NSD because it was originally Burt's plan to announce then. So 5-6 spots depending on Merrick.

Merrick will be 100% grayshirt imo. I see no way that the coaches and Merrick would agree on a grayshirt and then just go ahead and give him a scholarship a month later. Wont happen, especially with UT being in the mix with so much high end talent right now.

We have got a very unsettled offense. New Juco lineman to go with what was one of the worst offensive lines in DI. An unknown QB situation. It may very well be in his best interest to go elsewhere and be happy. I'd rather not have malcontents.
