When they visited last Wednesday, it was considered an unofficial visit. Both Murray and Lodge still have an official visit to Texas if they want it, so that's why you're seeing rumors of them being in Austin this weekend.
Why would the visit to UT count as an official visit? He says Kyler called him and asked him to go down there. Kyler's dad drove them down there. It wasn't arranged by the staff. There has to be more to the story.

Scout confirmed that CB Sheldrick Redwine is tentatively scheduled for this weekend, but they don't expect him to make it as he's been told the numbers are getting very tight.
Take it FWIW but I read that Texas bought Lodge a meal(s) when he visited last weekend which would technically make that visit an official since unofficial visits have to be totally on the recruits dime. Not sure if there is any truth to that or not.
I think Lodge could be headed to Ole Miss but if he does stay in State then I think it's safe to say that he is going wherever Kyler is going.
There was something about a third party (the Murrays) paying for Lodge's trip, which I think would make it an OV. I don't care enough to look but I read that somewhere.
I feel like we are good with Kris Boyd and Holton Hill but I still hope we bring Redwine in because I don't know what's going on with Davante Davis at all. We also have some spots that may free up as a result of qualification casualties so I wouldn't mind DB's filling those spots. From everything I've seen, Ronnie Major will probably not qualify and Gilbert Johnson is a possible non qualifier also. A Worthy Olineman and DB would be an ideal replacement for those voids but I'm not sure who that lineman would be considering no one on the top of our board has serious interest. Drew Richmond cancelled his visit for this weekend and Toby Weathersby doesn't seem like he is considering a recommitment. It's a good thing that the coaches are being honest with recruits about the numbers. You can tell that they are expecting a Big rush of guys moving towards signing day. Which makes me feel even more confident with this dream haul of the "elite 8"!
It's possible, but that would be surprising news to me considering recruits travel with each other all of the time and they didn't spend the night.
If Texas paid for anything, then yes, that's a different story.
Either way, if Lodge and Murray want to come to Texas this weekend, I assume they'll make it happen whether officially or unofficially.
