Still unclear, but the charges are serious enough that it's preventing enrollment.
RB Jordan Stevenson recently told 24/7 he plans to visit Ohio State, UCLA and Alabama this summer.
He also mentioned he will visit Texas again and is waiting for Oregon to offer.
Still unclear, but the charges are serious enough that it's preventing enrollment.
Max Olson checked in with LB Cameron Townsend today. Townsend said he's still a Texas lean but wants to wait until midseason to make his commitment decision.
Former Texas target QB Chason Virgil committed to Mississippi State.
Per 24/7, DT Daylon Mack has set up a visit to Alabama for June 13th.
OrangeBloods reporting JUCO DE Takkarist McKinley is eyeing Thanksgiving week for his official visit to Texas.

Per 24/7, Texas went by both Cedar Hill and Dallas South Oak Cliff yesterday.
They also saw DT Kingsley KeKe of Richmond George Ranch.
Update on OL Garrett Thomas of Many, LA after receiving his Texas offer (24/7):
"I'm very excited about the offer," Thomas said. "We've been talking about it a while and once the coach finally got in contact with me he told me he really liked my film from the start and he really wanted to meet me and get to know my personality and attributes that you can't really watch on film."
"He saw all of that (at practice) and told my coaches he was really excited and they were definitely going to offer me."
"We didn't really talk in person. I talked to him on the phone," Thomas said. "He told me he really likes my physicality and my toughness and the way I carry myself out there on the field. He told me I have a lot of good attributes that make me look like a Texas football player."
"Texas is definitely an option for me. It's one of the closest schools I have an offer from; probably the closest major school,” Thomas said. “That definitely makes them an option for me being that close and being the team that they are with their tradition."
"My family would support me wherever I go, but with schools definitely being closer would be a huge positive for them. I know I would like to still see them as much as possible and they'd still like to see me as much as possible so being a close school is definitely a huge plus."
"I've been talking to them about when they are all going to be in and when will be a good day to visit. I'm thinking sometime in June is a time he said would be good so I will be over there sometime around then," he said. "I really want to make a decision this summer pretty quickly, but it's probably going to take a little bit longer because all of the coaches won't be there at the same time at all the different schools so it will take me longer to get all the visits in."
Inside Texas saying another JUCO QB UT is looking at is Daniel Fitzwater of Copiah-Lincoln CC in Wesson, MS:

Per 24/7, Texas has re-offered 2016 DT Ed Oliver of Spring Westfield.
Quick quote from 5-star DT Tim Settle of Manassas (VA.), from 24/7.
"When I went to Alabama I actually went to their camp and I was actually able to work with their D-line coach at the time (Chris Rumph) who is now at Texas. So, I know how he works and how he coaches. That is why Texas is in my top five and I love how he coaches."
Inside Texas mentioned in their report on Wittek that he was kicked out of USC at one point because of the charges that were being brought against him. I wonder if that delayed his coursework or if this is just an excuse to take attention away from his legal issues. Kind of odd to visit Texas three times and tell everyone you're going to Austin if you knew you weren't going to graduate on time. Doesn't add up.
I don't know the original source of this info, but CB Jordan Tolbert (just committed to Baylor) will miss his senior year due to an ACL tear.
Hoping Texas can get Settle and OL Matthew Burrell in Austin together at some point.
From what I've gathered around the web, Settle will most likely end up at Virginia or JUCO. Apparently he is HUGE grade risk. Whether or not that is true, I don't know. But it comes from fans and analysts from Virginia and the surrounding states.
Colt Barber (who crystal balled Burrell to Texas) says it seems more and more unlikely to happen. He would change his CB to either Penn State or Ohio State, but he don't know which one yet, so he's kind of "wait and see"-mode. It is worth remembering that Settle, Burrell and Jeff Holland all talked about attending the same college. To my knowledge, Texas is the only school all 3 have genuine interest in (all three have said they would like to make an official visit to Texas).

UT commit Kirk Johnson ran a 4.57 40 and 4.00 shuttle at the Oakland NFTC today.
LB Darrin Kirkland of Indianapolis, IN has committed to Michigan.
Meridian High School in Mississippi produces talent. Scout 100 safety C.J. Hampton signed with Ole Miss in 2014, quarterback J'Mar Smith is their top junior, and Daniel Crowell is a wide receiver to know in the 2016 class...
Daniel Crowell had over 150 yards receiving and he scored two touchdowns Thursday night against West Point in a scrimmage game.
Mississippi State is the only school showing interest in Crowell right now, but that is expected to change soon.
The 6-foot-1, 191 pound sop re is strong and he has good speed down the field. He is thought of as one of the best athletes in the area.
There are a few schools he likes early.
"LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and probably Georgia are schools I am really interested in," said Crowell. "I am planning to go to camps at Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss this summer."
The 2016 wide receiver out of Meridian, Miss. grew up a fan of theTexas Longhorns. He has no ties to the school, but he has followed many of their top players.
"I have always liked Texas. I have watched them a lot and I have grown up watching guys like Ricky Williams, Colt McCoy, and Vince Young. They have had some great players."
Not many know much about Crowell yet, but those close to Meridian expect his first offer to come this summer, then many others to follow. Scout was at his school earlier this week and he is an impressive young man.
Brandon Jones is one of the top prospects in the class of 2016. The four star safety checks in from Nacogdoches (TX) and has offers from some of the biggest schools in the country.
Head coach Charlie Strong and defensive coordinator Vance Bedford have a prove track record with defensive backs. One defensive back they have targeted for the 2016 class isBrandon Jones.
”My thoughts on the program is it’s a really good yet growing one that produces a lot of players to the next level and a team that gets better each year,” Jones said.
Jones grew up a fan of the Longhorns and he will be a top priority for defensive backs coach Chris Vaughn moving forward.
”The coaches do what they can to make it as much like home as possible and I really like that,” Jones said. “My relationship with the coaches is going great and still growing everyday. Very nice facilities and growing up with them being a favorite team I really enjoy Texas!”
Why is Jones so highly recruited?
Jones is fast and compact. He has great ball skills and is very physical. Jones has great burst and nice straight line speed.
