reminds me of when i went for a check up and the first thing my Dr wanted to do was a prostate check. it was my first time and i was 23 or 24. My next visit his lover brought him flowers. i know this cause the nurse knocked on the door and he left it open. all the nurses were jealous cause thier dudes never brought them flowers. all i could think of was being violated. he didnt even check my heart beat first or my ears. he straight up stuck his finger in my ass. i've never recovered. i woulda sued but i was embarrased

He didn't tell me himself, I actually read an article online about local doctors supporting the rights of Gay patients, and to my surprise, they showed him with his partner, etc..

Mrsmaalox with the obvious reasonable answer.If you go to a doctor for any reason and they start to do something that seems strange or not necessary, you can always ask for an explanation or refuse to have it done. Most likely it will all make sense once they explain. An external (visual) examination of the anus and visual inspection with palpation of the testicles is a normal part of a complete physical assessment/exam---if you go to a doc for a "physical" and they don't do that, you have been ripped off.
The prostate exam is recommended starting at age 40. But the same exam checks for many other things than just prostate so it may be done on males of any age.
