No. He's listed as probably in the top 5 all time. He played too long for the short attention span crowd who thinks a person's worth is dictated by their peak, not by the body of their work.
By your logic, Tammy barely cracks the top 100 - for bigs. -10 points, farmer.

    The total minutes played:
Chamberlain - 1259 minutes or 44.96 per game
Jabbar - 1208 minutes or 43.14 per game

    The FTs data:
    Chamberlain - 106 from 218 (48.62 %)
    Jabbar - 111 from 155 (71.61 %)

    * Blocked stats are collected from archive newspapers articles (as most of the data), NBA doesn't kept track of blocked shots before 1973/74 season. I find in the forum info about Wilt blocked 8 shots in game 1 of 1971/72 regular season, but I was not able to find evidence in google news archive search,so again I do not post it.

    Cap: 6, Wilt: 2(?)

at the end of the day it doesnt matter if you post up monster stats but dont win

only thing those players are doing is ac ulating total stats, then revisionists will go back and lay a on them why they couldnt get wins with those type of seasonal stats...

theres 3-4 idiots on tha top25 lists that i always have a problem with, guys who are known to be stat padders then coming up short with alot of bull excuses, whether its selfish play or blaming the roster they are dealt with....
English translation: truth bomb - although most farmers won't acknowledge these facts. That would be like saying 5 > 4.

Kareem?......no way. I'll tell you the guy that is the most underrated player of All Time and he is Top 10 in points and rebounds and longevity but doesn't have a lot of les....he's up there with the MJ, Magic, Kobe, Kareem, Duncan, Wilt, Russell, Hakeem, Shaq, Bird,..ect.....his name is Moses Malone.
Great post tbh I admit I never acknowledge him on lists of top 10 players because i never saw him play and because he is really never talked about. Looking at his body of work though he was incredible.

Cap had a bad temper too. Just ask Bird. Unlike Duncan, he'd give a kick in the ass, instead of receiving a in the ass!

You'd think such an alpha would keep his teammate from getting DAPed and stuck with that nasty souvenir.

you. Kareem hid behind Kermit Washington. In 1972, he floored Gail Goodrich and when Chamberlain stepped he ran into the stands. Alpha big men don't need an enforcer.

Then there is 73-78 where prime Kareem was prime failure in the watered down ABA era. Kareem is the most overrated athlete in pro sports history.

It is what it is. It took him 8 extra years to beat Chamberlains points record and he still couldn't manage to get more rebounds.

He lost without Robertson or Magic and when he was in his prime with half of the top talent was in the ABA he was missing the playoffs and getting outed early like a chump.

If Jabbar is the best basketball player then then Cal Ripken is the best baseball player ever. It's bull .

Though I remember when the Pistons programmed Kent Benson and talked the fool into bullying Kareem.

tee, hee. Benson played again, but, he was never the same. & he never touched Jabbar again. Or, when the Sonics talked Tom Burleson into growing a beard to make himself look tougher so he could compete with Jabbar. lol.

Damn straight it is. If he's not in the top 3 greatest players or all time, then yes, it is an underestimation. You can't overlook his achievements in the sport.
