2 Aggie starters arrested for aggravated robbery
UPDATE: 5:55 p.m. _ Darian Claiborne and Isaiah Golden were in jail Tuesday afternoon after bond was set for $120,000 each after they were arrested for aggravated robbery.
Both were kicked off the Aggie football team earlier in the day, before word broke that the two had been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated robbery.
From the press release issued by the College Station police department:
"On May 23, 2014 at approximately 2255 hrs, officers with the College Station Police Department were dispatched to the 2000 blk of Holleman Drive W in regards to a report of an aggravated robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival officers met with two victims, a 20 year old male and a 22 year old male, and learned that the reported robbery had actually occurred a short distance away at their apartment in the 1100 blk of Jones Butler Road. They further stated that a third victim, a 20 year old male, was at that apartment and that he had been struck in the head during the robbery by one of the suspects. Officers responded to the apartment, located the third victim, and found him to have suffered minor injuries as a result of being struck.
Investigation at the scene found that the three victims had entered into an agreement to purchase a quan y of marijuana from the suspects. When the suspects arrived at the apartment to complete the transaction, one of the suspects produced a handgun, pointed it at one of the victims while the other suspect took the money that was present to purchase the marijuana. While this was occurring, one of the victims stood up from the couch and was struck in the face by the suspect with the handgun. The suspects then fled the area on foot and the victims notified police."

If you have concerns on the handling of student athletes on campus arrests, then I would encourage all to call and voice your opinion especially in reference to RSJ arrest for cursing. Texas A&M football player in court on assault charges
It is all a case of mistaken iden y.
That's what the attorney for Gavin Stansbury said after the 6-foot 4-inch, 255-pound defensive end for Texas A&M appeared in a Houston court Thursday on an assault charge.
"We're 100 percent sure that he will be acquitted or the charges will be dismissed," said lawyer Allena Wright. "Gavin was not in the area of Rice at all."
Stansbury, 21, is accused of appearing on the fourth floor of a Rice University dorm about 2:30 a.m. March 16. Police said he argued with a student, and later poured a beer over his head and punched him in the face.
The two men were separated by other witnesses. The wound above the student's eye took eight s ches to close, according to court records.

Non story tbh. Reigning Heisman winner stole and nothing came of it. He will be punished internally but not kicked off.
How did the recruits like Little Ceasers at Strong's camp? He really knows what the kids like these days. We will be telling our grandkids about this turnaround.

I love how Aggy thinks this is a non story btw. They already had no discipline on defense last year. Off the field issues show up on the field.
It shows where both programs are. When we sucked, we loved these moments because that's all we had. Roles are completely reversed now and it's a beautiful thing. Sumlin will just land another 5 star and this guy won't see the field. No big deal.
