No other major sport has seen more recent changes than CFB. I witnessed the rise & fall of the BCS. More is coming, making the 4-team Playoff seem rather ancient!

Saban does not have a ridiculously loaded team at the offensive skill positions and new O coordinator. O line on the right side is very good.
Their defense will be much better.
With the rule change of no stopped clock after making a 1st down in the field of play, there will be less total possessions/plays which is definitely good for Alabama if they can use their running QB and talent at RB effectively to grind down clock like the old Bama teams used to. And thats their other problem. New QB. Milroe showed a severe lack of competence when Alabama had to pass while Young was injured last year. If it wasnt missfires, it was fumbling and interceptions. Milroe can run the ball.
Alabama misses Georgia in the regular season and gets LSU at home.
Tennessee on the road.. UT at home early in the year but its a night game. Alabama has not lost a game at home at night since 2015.
tough call methinks... I can see one loss if their D plays really well and they just maul other teams on the ground and then set up the easier pass. If they get behind early... not good. Much harder to make comebacks for them this upcoming season.

Ofcourse but assuming they even complete this schedule unbeaten, people will prefer a 1-loss Alabama or LSU
