Everyone called it the Hitler Channel when it first started, there was some stuff worth watching for sure but also some fluff. Seemed when they started producing their own content it went a bit downhill
Viewers don't pick what's on TV. They just watch it because it's what's on.

Everyone knew--it was a period in which the world was trying to survive after the crash of '29 and the onset of the depression. Both Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were quickly bolstering their armaments and were by the early-to-mid 30's, capable of unleashing their forces on the closest nations to them. It wasn't a well-kept secret and industrial spies of the to-be allies reported back to our government with little fanfare.
What's "on" is what gets ratings... and what gets rating is what people watch the most.
Yeah I think that's why i got burnt out on WWII docs. I watched the History Channel religiously back in the day and it was almost non stop WWII.
This series has been good. I'm enjoying the last episode.
Finally watched the first episode. Very disappointing. Instead of historians, most commentary was provided by politicians. It spent maybe 1 1/2 hours on WWI, and an hour of that was how the US saved everyone. Didn't really like how it focused on just the "important" people. Weak , tbh. I'm not even gonna bother finishing the series.
Yeah, it's bull . The others mentioned upstream are so much better.
Germany surrendered in WW1?
Effectively, given the terms they accepted.
