Meh, if he starts okay just turn the A/C off and let the drama queen melt. Hot temperatures are clearly his kryptonite.

He will work his ass off to score that many points, and if he has to work hard for that many points, I predict cramping, AC or no AC.

Wade played very well early, but faded late. Heat won't win unless Wade is scoring too, and for Lebron to score 60, that means much fewer touches for Wade.

I really believe that if Lebron ever scores 60 in this series, it will be in an elimination game where he feels he needs to carry the whole team on his shoulders.

cia pop has planned the 7 plagues for lebron this series. game one was intense heat. game 2 they are going to let 2 dozen cattle from the stock yards into the heat locker room, whoops they got loose.

for game 3, cia pop bought delonte west and lebrons mom courtside seats together.

Only way the Queen can score 30+ is if the ref$ get Kawhi in foul trouble again...

That puss is a choker, it's the Finals, he's probably gonna fake limp when he gets that ass shut down

he's going to go crazy out there, especially since his PED Cramps made so many laugh. He's going to protect his name brand, so expect him to go off and get a lot of favorable whistles.

Still, I'd rather they let James get his and shut down the rest, just continue to make James expend tons of energy every game.

The Spurs are playing chess, and most other teams don't even see the board:

It doesn't matter how motivated James is, or how many points he scores; the game is 48 minutes long - the Spurs are going to run their motion offense, not just to score, but to weaken the legs of the other team's over-worked players. The Spurs will simply be patient, and run their stuff, make the Heat (or any opponent) work on BOTH sides of the court, until, at some point in the game, the dam breaks. It's not an accident that Lebron ended up spent in (only) 33 minutes last night - he was playing great defense on Kawahi! But Kawahi is not a simple cover, is he? You have to WORK to shut him down. So even if he isn't scoring, something (not insignificant) is being accomplished. Why was Allen missing "open" threes at the end? Tired legs, maybe? Do you doubt that the Spurs know exactly how far each player during the game has run during that game vs. what their average is? I bet it helps dictate what plays they run and when. 3rd quarter "collapses" might be by design - not specifically to fall behind, but to encourage certain players to expend energy that will be necessary in the 4th? Don't know, but maybe.

Beyond the score, the most important stat entering the 4th quarter of a Spurs game is minutes played. If the Heat big 3 have logged substantial minutes at that point, and the Spurs are within striking distance - then, Check. If the Spurs are actually leading, and the Heat are going to have to expend energy to catch them at that point? Check mate.

People talk about Pop's managing of minutes as something to save Tim, etc... for the post-season. It is far more than that - it is game management. All season the Spurs lost, what, a single game decided by 3 points or less? That's not a fluke or an accident, IMO.

    this.

That is the big question. could Lebron have cramped even if the a/c still worked??

No he isn't. LeBron has only scored 60 in a game once in his life and it was against the ty Bobcat. He sure as isn't doing it in the Finals against a superior team who's looking to beat his ass into the ground with a spirit-breaking 2-0 series lead.
They were actually better than the Heat defensively this season, 7th for the 'Cats and 11'th for the Heat. He went off on a decent team not the 76'ers. I (#nojinx) don't think he could go for more than 40 in a game against us. He just isn't the type to throw up 30 shots. He attempted 26 and 25 shots in 50 minutes and 43 minutes in the last NBA finals for 33 and 32 points.

Lebron is going to hit the talk show circuit to explain how dedicated he is to winning in the two days before game 2. He loves to make sacrifices in order to represent that name on the back of his jersey. ESPN loves him so much that they set up a Sunday Conversation on Friday for him.

I don't count eastern conference defensive ratings unless they're way above everyone else. The Bobcats are not, therefore it's safe to assume that their defensive rating was only decent because they play poor compe ion for most of the season. It's a statistical fact that the east's offenses perform poorly, and their defenses give up a lot more points when they play the west. So you can certainly connect the dots and surmise that east teams usually make up the higher parts of the defensive rating list due to the poor offensive abilities of the eastern conference's teams. Bobcats aren't decent. They would not even be .400 in the west.

LeBron will not score anywhere near 60 in this series. I would be surprised if he even hits 40. He can't score like Jordan. It's a different player.

"The AT&T Center doesn't like us. We know that. Just based on how the A/C didn't work. That's ok, we don't like the AT&T Center either."
