Power Rangers actor accused of murder

A former child actor who appeared in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers television series is accused of murdering a couple in California by tying them to an anchor and throwing them overboard.
Skylar Deleon has been ordered to stand trial for the murders of Thomas and Jackie Hawks last November in an alleged plot to steal their 55ft luxury yacht Well Deserved.
Mr Deleon, 26, who has a previous conviction for burglary, and his wife Jennifer Henderson Deleon, 24, are accused of posing as interested buyers for the boat.
They convinced Mr and Mrs Hawks to take it out on a test run, prosecutors say. Miles out to sea off Newport Beach, the older couple were attacked with a stun gun, handcuffed, and gagged and blindfolded with duct tape, Orange County Superior Court was told yesterday in a preliminary hearing.
They were threatened until one of the victims signed over power of attorney to their attackers. Then they were tied to the boat's 66lb (30kg) anchor and ruthlessly thrown overboard to drown, police allege.
When relatives of the missing couple raised the alarm, the police were led to the Deleons, who produced a bill of sale for the yacht and the power of attorney. Prosecutors say that the bill of sale is a forgery.
Police say that Mr Deleon had tried unsuccessfully to access the murdered couple's bank account in Arizona using the power of attorney.
The murders baffled police for months, as the bodies of Mr Hawks, 57, and his 47-year-old wife, have never been found.
The couple had been living on board the yacht off southern California, but had decided to sell it and buy a smaller boat and a house in Mexico. They placed an advert in a yachting magazine, which is how detectives say the Deleons got in touch with them.
But the couple and their alleged accomplice, a 40-year-old member of the Crips street gang called John F Kennedy, were reported to the police by a fourth plotter called Alonso Machain, who says he met Mr Deleon while working as a prison guard.
Mr Machain has told detectives that he agreed to take part in the killings in return for several million dollars. He is due to stand trial separately.
He has also told police that he and Mr Deleon originally intended to carry out the murders on November 6, but aborted the plan because Mr Hawks, a retired probation officer from Arizona, was bigger than they expected. They enlisted Mr Kennedy to help them, and returned on November 15 to carry out the killings.
"It is haunting to think these nice, loving people were trying to hold their breaths as they sank to the bottom of the ocean," said Matt Murphy, the Deputy District Attorney. "This is as cold-blooded as it gets."
A judge ruled after a two day preliminary hearing at Santa Ana, south of Los Angeles, that the Deleons and Mr Kennedy, all from Long Beach, should stand trial for murder with special cir stances. All the defendants have pleaded not guilty.

I remeber a Kid around 12-13 years old as the blue ranger once. They kicked off Billy and replaced him with a brat to play and he magically grew 6ft tall when he transformed. I think that's who they're talking about I think, well probably anyway.

As for the murder, that's just sick. I have never been able to comprehand as to how someone ends someone else's life because of an object (such as a boat. )
