yeah, a bit random.
I knew Colin Cowherd picked the Heat, but doesn't changed the fact he dogged the Spurs the last couple of years on his tv and radio show.Just like Barkley who use to favor the Spurs, but went against them hard last couple of years and this year particular.Only reversed from Cowherd.
yeah, a bit random.
He railed on and on last year about how Stars win championships, not teams. The Spurs have great players but it wasn't their star power that won, it was their team work. If Cowterd picked the Spurs in 5 it was because he saw like the rest of the Nation that the Spurs were the best team in the league - last year too.
I listen to a lot of national sports radio and podcasts: Colin supported us the entire year and was one of the few media guys that lambasted Miami and considered us the real champions last year. I don't think he counts up there with the Stephen A. Smiths and Chris Broussards at all. Colin is a new era Spur fan in the same vein of Skip Bayless. He was one of the few media guys who didn't back down from "Spurs in 5" and denied his colleagues from changing his mind.
Barkley is finicky, he claimed there was "no chance" we would beat the Heat but yet infinitely respects us and calls Parker the best PG in the game (which I don't even believe) and cites Pop as the best coach. I'm glad he owed up to this after game 4 on the postgame coverage on NBA TV and said the Heat didn't stand a chance against us as constructed.
I think it's finally time that the media has to respect us, we dismantled the media's darling Heat and we've seen many pro-Spurs articles come up online since the win. I think we'll be more respected now, maybe not talked about still, but people will seldom doubt us.
I've been abusing that fat terrorist DJ Khaled for a week on twitter after the Spurs won Game 3.. no reply though... he's probably blocked me tbh![]()
When you look at how much the media is sucking the of LeBron James can you ing imagine how bad this would be if Michael Jordan was playing in this era? Holy mother ing it would be nothing short of unbearable
I have always hated Colin Cowturd. He would infuriate me when I would listen to him before class in College. He would clown on the Dallas Cowboys and Spurs, but I didn't know he changed his tune this year about the Spurs. Barkley hadnt rooted for the Spurs since 2009 or something. Spurs were just to old to him. I believe he picked against the Spurs against Portland, OKC, and Miami. It felt good after each series victory. His face at the end of game 4 in the Finals was hilarious.

There might be slightly more respect because anybody still saying that the Spurs are "old, tired and boring" will really sound like a clown (not that the fear of ridicule ever stopped the guys in the OP's post, though).
What a ring means is that a lot of writers, when choosing their favorites during the preseason, will pick the Spurs because they always pick the defending champ no matter what. And the Spurs will be #1 in a few meaningless power rankings to start the season. That's about as far as the respect will go. It will soon revert to "Wade was injured", "the Spurs were clicking at the right time", "the stars aligned" and other such nonsence.
did le ba do his big rant thing he does after the heat win?
tbh he seems like the kind of dude to do it even tho they lost
Lil' Wayne is one ugly SOB...seriously.
Dan LeBa s rant after 2013 Nba Finals. him and his fat father. was funny though.

A parody Rant only on Finals
Latest rant I believe
Skip is ok but he is too much of a cliff jumper like some on ST, my favorite pro Spurs media member is Mic e Beadle. Beadle has been down with the Spurs since day one and has always dogged LeBron, back when she used to call him the Akron Hammer, even though he didn't like it. BTW did LeBa do a Heat rant after we ran thru em?
"Melo they are going to need your defense" hahaha lol
Replies to any debate he doesn't know the answer for "But we da best!!!!"
Leave it to the Heat to all have opt out clauses so all the media would discuss after the loss is
"Do they stay or go?" "OMG where is Lebron going potentially going, lets discuss endlessly and ignore the winners of the finals"..
