If we could just get a freaking starting small forward I'd feel a lot better about our chances against you guys, tbh....
Pau will get his touches... but if that ball ever sticks.... he's going to be benched!

People saying Pau can't play next to Tim are re ed, tbh. If we need defense Tiago will play, if we need offense Gasol will play. Simple.
Gasol complains about his role when there are scrubs playing ahead of him and the team still sucks, tbh
Nobody liked Big hot Rob either before he came here.
clippers r legit but yeah a true sf wouldn't hurt
SJax wasn't a mistake at all. They traded for him from a financial standpoint, not basketball. Whatever they gave him on the court was gravy, and he was pretty damn good in Game 6 in 2012.
And when the Kobefans blame Pau as the reason they aren't winning games.
Which is true..again, if he signs with the Spurs, then I assume he's fine with a bench role..
My point was simply that if he goes to Chicago, he would get all the touches he wants, which seems like something he would be interested in..
That's when Jamison and other scrubs played ahead him and team didn't win either. I've never had the impression that Pau is a selfish player. If anything, he was as important as KB to their 2 championships (actually had better win shares in one of the 2 championship years), yet he got bashed and was in trade rumor whenever things went bad. He took it all during the last 3-4 years, though with some outburst along the way.
Agree
Gasol would actually help create space for Tim, something that Timmy hasn't had for a long time.
Mills/Beli/Ginobili/Diaw/Gasol off the bench? I think I'm about to nut.
Agree... not the first time a former Laker is joining the team.
He complained in the past mostly when LAL was struggling or after losses. Doubt he'll complain on a team winning 60-65 games
Apples and oranges. Nobody liked Horry because he'd destroyed the Spurs multiple times in the playoffs.
Gasol coming the bench with Splitter would be ing sick.
2nd Unit:
Splitter
Gasol
Leonard (probably plays the most mins)
Manu
Mill, a Anderson etc.
I think Pau tweet says it all he said he's close to his decision if he was close to signing with the bulls that would mean pau would know that Melo isn't going to the Bulls or that the lakers found a team to take on Nash contract which is highly unlikely at the time pau tweeted that. I have a good feeling he is coming to SA
Tbh i don't even know how i feel about Pau to the Spurs![]()
I can't see him accepting a 25 MPG bench role while leaving 5-7M on the table, when he could be a key piece elsewhere while still contending. I get the whole winning thing, but that's a pretty damn big sacrifice.
If he does sign with the Spurs, theres 96 minutes between the 4/5. Being conservative Timmy gets 28, Tiago 22, Boris 22, that leaves 24 for Pau. Plus he's not a fit next to Timmy anymore, so he would need to accept a backup 5 role behind Tim.
Having said that, if the Spurs can pull it offme it will be good to watch.
Agreed. Not sure who they can get at this point tho.
This isn't football. You have to score and defend all the time. The fact that Duncan/Gasol would be one of the worst defensive duos in recent memory is an issue. We're talking Turd Towers bad, although with Lock n Lock, it would seem as terrible.
Then The Detroit Dagger happened, and all was forgiven.![]()
Man.... the second five may be even better than the first five.
I hate to see what a bunch of scrubs will do against this version of the foreign legion!
Wait til after he makes his announcement to preach common sense. We deserve a little bit of delusion this offseason.![]()
Sheeit. He was forgiven before the ink was dry on his contract.
I doubt it. And you're selling Tim short, IMO. He's not as mobile but he's still very good. And I mean teams, teams that pay small will get abused by a Pau/Tim front court.
