Rockets have been a ty organization most of their existence, but not for this. So ing what they used Melo's number? If LeBron visited and his number was 7, they'd use it too. If you put either one in a no name rookie number, no one gives a . People only care because it's Lin.

DJ, you know how much I hate Lin..but this is a bit insensitive. Not really because of Lin's feelings in particular, but because it shows a ty lack of professionalism from the organization. Its not the image we want to project tbh.
How does this show a lack of professionalism, just curious? Lin purposely leaked it back to Wojo that he didn't approve it because his feelings were hurt. Then got on twitter. Lin got cut like 5 times, once on Christmas day, and THIS bothers him? The Rockets don't owe him anything. It's just like when a player is traded without being informed. It happens. It's a business, a cutthroat one.

Of course, he's stolen 25mil for a 2 week stretch of fluke play, he should be thanking the stars he even got this opportunity. My point was that we are notorious for our treatment of players/coaches and this just adds more fuel to the fire whether true or not. When it comes to such matters the organization should have played it safe, especially given the history of the two players in NY.
This won't affect how FA look at them. You appease stars, not ty role players. Guys are probably laughing their asses off at Lin.
