Lin is not a rookie or a journeyman playing for a contract. He was an integral part of the Rockets. He underperformed and failed to reach expectations, true, but that's not enough to trash a player who's still officially with your organization, from my understanding, Lin accepted every role assigned to him. He wasn't a great soldier, but he followed orders at the end of the day.
I don't feel bad for Lin though. He's laughing his way to the bank.

The whole Lin situation is so disgusting for the fact that he gets coddled because of his race. If it was some other like Felton, no one would bat a eyelash seeing how he underperformed.
There is players that I miss (Sura, etc) wearing rockets red, but Lin will go down as another Kevin Cato, mfer should be thankful for the millions he got paid
