Yeah he doesn't need to be the third banana. First he needs to show up in the playoffs, however, trading Lin is addition by subtraction.
He's right, while Harden played a part, better coaching/TJ would have easily won us that series. The point still stands that he needs to be the 3rd banana/ Ginobili of this team as previously mentioned though.

Removing Lin is big, but Harden needs to play less minutes (smaller role). The guy wasn't near as bad of a defender in OKC because he didn't have to focus as much on the offensive end. I remember hearing that he's battled asthma his entire life the day he was drafted, its no secret that he just waives his arms around and doesn't shift his feet on defensive possessions. Thats just gambling and lazy D to conserve energy. If he plays with that sort of intensity on the defensive end with someone else to shoulder the load offensively, we'll rarely have moments where our lineup will be as big of a liability as it has been.
Rockets ain't going anywhere, something is wrong with that team in general.
There are plenty of reasons they wouldn't go anywhere, a number isn't one of them.
