wishywashy? Red Flag? The dude is trying to decide on whether to give up around 5 million per year. I think if he wants to take some time to figure that out more power to him. What the ?

I agree, I mean 5 million a huge amount when your career has already amassed over 160 million dollars, right? My point is not that getting him wouldn't be good, its the fact that he's indecisive, makes him a little girl.

There's no evidence that he's indecisive. His actions are completely consistent with someone who is patiently waiting for his first option before considering his second and third options.

i don't want Gasol either. He's great, but i'd rather see more Splitter and Baynes.

Gasol would not just be the key to repeat but will be a bridge between the Duncan and the Leonard era.

I guess I dont understand your point. If he has to sit down and mull which is better LA/CHI/SA/? then I really dont know why that makes him a good fit. I feel like, if he were truly interested in SA, he would just take the MLE and get on with it.

What first option do you see him having?

The Lakers for 10M or more per year.

Chicago is the consensus. They have the $$$ to pay him if they amnesty Boozer. They could easily give him 13-14 mil a year and still have cap left to sign other players.

That's why making thread topics like, "Gasol is dumb if he doesn't automatically want to play here" get you criticized a lot. Because you don't seem to have a full scope of understanding about the situation in the first place, yet you presume to sit in judgment of some of the best athletes in the world. Gasol has a lot on his mind to make a choice, and it's not just about money. It's about moving. Chicago is a first class all-world city and he would be starting for them as opposed to fighting for minutes in San Antonio.

It must be easy where you're sitting to tell an NBA player, "Oh, it's JUST ~20+ million over the course of the next 3 or 4 seasons. That's nothing!"

This is why most Spurs fans are hoping Melo goes to the Bulls.
Then the Spurs would be the favorites to get Gasol.

Spurs players have been signed, without letting their egos get in the way. If Pau were a character guy, that the spurs covet, then he shouldn't be wishy-washy about the decision. His indecision is a red-flag to me.

When you're asking someone to take less than half of their market value they can be wishy washy

This might be the dumbest post I've ever seen on ST.

The fact that he's being careful with his decision before cutting his salary in half probably means he's one of the few players in the league who won't go broke three after retiring.

When dealing with your career, not thinking things over would be the red flag.

With Bosh staying in Miami now for the max, Houston will probably go after Gasol and get him.

No. If Gasol signs with Spurs it also means he doesn't sign with OKC or Houston or any other contenders.

He had a bad at ude when, in a team full of ego, he was being disrespected.

If the stars of the team can come off the bench, take less shots, less minutes, and receive Pop anger, then he's a basketball player.

Trade Tiago/Green for stud athletic 2 guard to pair with Leonard.
