I've been looking, tbh, nothing on nzb yet... I have the BluRay ordered on Amazon...
Ok so how is it?? Does it truly capture how amazing our journey to redemption was?
I've been looking, tbh, nothing on nzb yet... I have the BluRay ordered on Amazon...
its not as good as the other ones
even of the past few years, they mailed it in....
whatever its expected still good to relive the memories a lil tho
Knew it. these templated pieces of . The old champ videos of the 80s and 90s were the best.
Ya, pretty much agree. It was serviceable, but not particularly inspired.
couldn't wait for your opinion, and ended up buying it.Pretty much worth it!

So it's not all of the NBA mini-movies like someone had suggested?![]()
BTW, just curious.. The 03 one had a music video by the red hot chili peppers at the end.. Did the 05 and 07 ones have it as well? I only got the CDs, so I'm not sure if that was it or I missed out on special features.
It was entertaining for sure, but as said above - the prior dvds/blurays have been better, a bit more detail oriented. A lot of it could be that since the end of Game 5, we've pretty much all been watching youtube championship videos fairly (OK very) regularly, so we may be a little numb. Def stillthere at the end tho.
I'm excited to see what bonus materials are on the actual blu ray.
I'm torn... May just wait for bluray from amazon. I need the YouTube videos to wear off anyways as someone mentioned...
it is just all the mini movies ...oh well
It was pretty much the one YouTube video, with Ahmad Rashad doing the narrating.
All the Finals mini-movies have been put together on one YouTube video and I almost fell asleep watching it. Definitely not on the same level as "The Beautiful Game" (Parts 1 & 2) or "Reborn from the Ashes" or some others. Disappointing.
Both you and I were legendary cliff jumpers... so we can't talk. You should read my big post (now an anti-jinx post tbh) after we lost game 2 of the Finals. I had a huge meltdown.

i was about to go ahead and buy it from itunes but somebody's mentioned it's just all mini movies from nba.com? no way...
if half of the 57 min duration is never before seen BTS footage i'll buy it for sure again, (i have already pre ordered from amazon)
A big part of it looks like the mini-movies, but there is more to it than that. I went ahead and got 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007 so I have the complete collection.![]()
I'll most likely pick it up at Best Buy or Target the day of release. That's what I've always done in the past here in Austin.
It's not as good as the older ones. They spent a lot less time talking about the first 3 rounds (pretty sure they spent less than a minute on the Portland series), and focused mainly on the Finals. I enjoyed it, but like others have said, the majority of the footage came from the mini-movies that NBA put up on YouTube. I had literally just watched all 5 mini-movies from the Finals a few days before, so it was kinda bad timing for me lol. Felt like I was having deja-vu or some .
It's only $12 though. I bought it mainly for the memorabilia aspect so I can have it in my collection with the other 4 championship DVDs. I'm content with the purchase.
The NBA used to go all-out on these things in the 90s. The 99 DVD is far and away the best Spurs championship video. The best one I have seen period was the 2000 Lakers championship DVD where they talked a lot about Phil Jackson coming in and making the team do simple fundamentals like Gene Hackman in Hoosiers. The 2001 DVD the next year was pretty lousy by comparison, and none of the DVDs have been very good since. The 1983 championship video for the Sixers is really good also, since they talk about the other series and have a nice piece on the Spurs team that came so close to forcing a Game 7 of the WCF against LA.
If you want to see how good these used to be grab yourself a copy of this:
http://www.amazon.com/NBA-25-Years-o...s+of+champions
It has all of the videos up to the Pistons in 2004.
Anyone know what the bonus features will be on the blu-ray?
- A special on the Pendergraph to Ayres name change
- The ability to take a selfie with the BluRay case
Man after the 2003 one the Spurs had when they showed the whole 4th quarters of the closeout games it got bad, the 2005 one was not near that! They started to fall off badly after 03 IMO and I didn't even buy with 07 after the 2005 one. I agree with you fully though, the ones from the 80's and 90's were incredible! I wish the Spurs had more then![]()
If I purchased on Google Play, Can I download to my PC and play this vedio with other softwares?
