The Lunar Goddess - Independence Day

You are the only goddess up there in the sky
Your round lovely face is the most beautiful I've seen
When the darkness covers the earth you give us moonlight
You're our source of hope, the religion we believe in
The wind blows up fast, wet smell permeating the air
Behind the thick rain cloud, we know that you're still there
Oh, you're lunar goddess, the pride of our race
You are the greatest feat, the lord has ever made

In the same hall I think, once again we will meet
I'll hardly hold my tears, and the snot in my nose
It's a long time no see, hope you'll remember me
Wish I had a spacecraft, to you it'd bring me close
Flying toward where you are, as fast as a beam
I'll melt in your arms, which happened in my dreams
Oh, you're lunar goddess, the pride of our race
You are the greatest feat, the lord has ever made

It was on July fourth, west half of the world
We declared independence and appeared as a nation
And the same day in two hundred fourteen years
An angel witnessed her first sunrise on the earth
There is no match to her extraordinary grace
She'll grow into a goddess whom we all venerate
Oh, you're lunar goddess, the pride of our race
You are the greatest feat, the lord has ever made

I felt strong impulse to get hold of your hands
Put them to my heart, let you feel my passion
To your side I'll lean, otherwise I could not stand
You mesmerize me so much as if I were under inebriation
Hope you don't feel repulsed by my bold genuine crush
Full cheeks look so pretty with redness when you blush
Oh, you're lunar goddess, the pride of our race
You are the greatest feat, the lord has ever made

    Little late, no?

    Too heavy in my opinion.

Not late imho, it's only Thursday and I'm gonna let her see it on Sunday. Normally I release my poems on ST about 3-4 days before posting them on my social network page where LG can see them, so I have plenty of time to check your reviews and edit my poems, and to ensure the final version LG sees is the finest it could be. July 3 is her birthday so I probably should've preserved this poem until her 25th birthday next year, but I'm afraid I wouldn't even have the chance .

Yeah that's what I meant with 4th of July and all.

This poem is too direct and obvious imo. If you dont want her to know you like her for sure, this will make sure that she will know that you like her...alot.

I think I've already delivered it clearly enough in the past poems tbh, like in the "cara blanca" poem I wrote "red string round her neck, white lace shirt and black camisola" that was exactly how she was dressed in that pic tbh. I've addressed her clearly as Lunar Goddess quite a few times imho. And it's not a case whether I want her to know that I like her, she already knew it for sure as early as in July. So for me the purpose of writing these poems is to keep reminding her that I still like her, and that my liking never fades as time passes.

At first I wasn't even sure if I liked her or not, I wrote the first Lunar Goddess poem as a meager gift for her birthday, I just wanted to show her my gratefulness (because she read my novels) and that was all. The fact is I've had affections for her since the first time we talked to each other in December last year, but I didn't even realize it until you said to me "you must like that girl to call her a goddess". There're many ways to show your thankfulness to someone but why did I write such a romantic poem which contained the most genuine feelings from the deepest part of my heart? And why did I give her my novels to read if I didn't like her internally (knowing that those novels are, to some extent, prurient)?

I'm glad I was sort of a catalyst in making you realize what you already knew.
