Nah, it'll be the Angels, Cards, or Orioles imo.
Hear me out, tbh..
All of that Nelson Cruz ridiculous 6 homer ALCS , washed up Tim Lince dominating out of the bullpen , David Ortiz grand slam winner , all of that has to be part of god's ultimate plan.. it is our destiny to win the world series in the coming years, and I think this year might be our best chance, tbh.. This year's playoff teams are so much weaker than in years past, there's not a single dominant team out there that can take us out, tbh..
We're taking it, tbh..
Nah, it'll be the Angels, Cards, or Orioles imo.
Tigers have a chance, but I think the field is as wide open as it's been in years. How well or poorly the Tigers bullpen performs could be the deciding factor as to how far they go.
No truly dominating team in the MLB right now. Probably a handful of the playoff teams all capable of making a run. Personally, I think the Dodgers will take it all.
Tigers bullpen is a question mark as well as overall defense though its improved this season, but they have starting pitching and offense. Verlander coming on is potentially huge.
It would make a great story and on the 20th anniversary of their last championship.
Not if we use Sanchez which is being discussed. Nathan for the most part has got the job done.
30 years, bro. It's been 30 years.
It's too bad they won't get to play the Indians in the postseason.
Don't count out Bruch Bochy's Giants. He may be the most underrated manager of all time imo. The rest of the NL is very strong as well (Dodgers,Cards,Pirates are very scrappy this year)...I don't see any team from the AL winning it this year even with Detroit's outstanding starting rotation.
Fuzzy math...
The bullpen can be fixed if Sanchez is able to find success in that role... I'm desperately hoping for Nathan to blow a save and lose his job before the playoffs so Soria is inserted as the new closer..
If JV can dial it up in the playoffs like last year, we're winning the pennant
jv is sharp, price is sharp, scherzer is sharp, its all about our bats and our bullpen for the most part nathan has been getting the job done, not as scary as papa grande was his last two seasons in detroit
My ideal playoff roster
Kinsler
Hunter
Miggy/Kelly
Victor
JD Mart/Tyler Collins
Castellanos
Avila/Holaday
Suarez/Romine
Davis/Carerra
Verlander Scherzer Price Porcello Sanchez Chamberlain Nathan Soria Coke Alburquerque Hardy
No love for the Lobster?
You jinxed us got
It's been a great day for sports
Teams who lose who have lost to the Red Sox in the ALCS since the 1918 drought ended in 2004 get cursed with playoff series droughts.
New York Yankees- Lost the 2004 ALCS to Boston and didn't win a playoff series until 2009.
Cleveland Indiants- Lost the 2007 ALCS to Boston and have not won a playoff series since.
Detroit Tigers- Lost the 2013 ALCS to Boston and were swept by the O's tonight.
It's all downhill from here on out for the Tigers.
