This movie was decent. Better than Ant Man and the Wasp, but I enjoyed Aquaman more.

Which is too bad (the ty sales for Alita I mean) . Because it probably won't get a sequel now and tbh I thought it was a pretty bad ass movie...

Captain marvel was good. Definitely not a tier 1 movie but maybe mid to lower tier 2. Brie Larson is hot but jesus she is a ty actress. Other than her bad acting which is magnified being next to Sam Jackson and Jude law, really enjoyed the movie overall.

Brie Larson’s a good actor, but she was definitely only there for that Marvel paycheck. Alita looks interesting but I’m not a big Robert Rodriguez fan. I admire his story of getting into Hollywood way more than his actual movies.

Yeah, I've seen her in a couple other movies and didn't think she was terrible before but idk her delivery just wasn't there for this one. Maybe ty is too harsh but definitely felt her acting was kinda bad in this movie.

Alita was good. A bit contrived and corny at times but I enjoyed it. And luckily it was based on a solid Manga series so it's not like this RR's own project. He stayed fairly close to the source material

He uses “good goy” then pretends like he has no idea what Stormfront is Fake Christian Simple Chris
Yeah but he's been saying it to known Jooooooooooooooooooooooooos. I have no doubt he got it from other neo Nazi incels on Stormfront; he just seems unclear on the concept.

Thinking about going to see it this week, but I have no idea about the character (Miss Marvel) or the actress. I've never seen a Brie Larson film before so I have some reservations about going. Is it any good?

saw captain marvel last night. i think it was good, nothing special. 8/10. obviously if you enjoy MCU generally, its something you should see. and if not, i think it functions well as a stand-alone movie as its set in the 90's, so doesnt quite rely on your vast MCU knowledge.

i think the first act of the movie was pretty hard to sit through, first 30 minutes or so. it was just endless exposition and characters/sequences that you can't really be invested in by that point, but they're trying to make you care. but once she met Fury, i think it was up there with other good MCU movies like Dr. Strange, Ant Man

i think Larson was ok. but didnt come across as somebody who's going to be so charismatic so as to "steal the show" in avengers 4

I actually thought the first 30 minutes were well paced and interesting and drew me into a movie I wasn't sure that I was going to like. The movie works better than I expected it too and was certainly much funnier though I thought the climatic ending wasn't nearly as good as other MCU films.

I think 8/10 is pretty fair though but thought Larson was really good in it. I do wonder if she'll end up being just another Avenger despite the build-up to End Game.

well i think the narrative demands that she's going to be a really big deal, given how much they've emphasized the pager...
