^basically. There's a hero registration act passed by congress after collateral damage from a battle where a school full of kids die. Some heroes are for it (iron man being on of the main proponents) and some against (cap leading the opponents). Spider man unmasks in a press conference to show his solidarity with the pro reg act side. Some heroes go underground and are hunted by others. Yadda yadda, big giant civil war.

that's always kinda what I thought but I was always confused cause how the could Tony Stark support that? From the first Iron Man to this Avengers he's always been a one-step-ahead kinda guy (for better and for worse) who takes care of like this by himself. If anything I would figure Cap, the government funded juiced up hero and super patriot, would support it. This contradicts both. So who's on which side? Don't the comics have this?

yeah that was always my first thought as well concerning the sides they chose. I havent read the movie synopsis so this is going off the comics. Pretty much every hero gets involved.

they really need to push these next movies close to 3 hours. So many characters with potential that are worthy of time. Get some real writing and make it more than the standard copy and paste comic book movie. It wouldn't be hard with pretty much an entire cast of characters the audience already knows. It's time to turn comic book movies into the epics from back in the day. And drop some of the ing humor. I wanna feel some actual intensity and investment in the characters when goes down, not just fist pumping excitement and chuckles.

I don't know much about this but I'm assuming one of them believes that Avengers/SHIELD should be self-governing because they know government makes the same mistakes anyway and is just less efficient while the other believes they've grown too powerful to make their own decisions and need something to hold them accountable? Someone please tell me where I'm wrong and which one believes which
I agree on the 3 hours

The problem is that movie theaters may not approve
Whedon was forced to cut a lot of scenes from AOU because theaters didn't want a 3 hour movie
That's why the movie's pacing was weird

What a ing shame. Lord of the Rings is the last of its kind tbh unfortunately. There's so much potential for that kinda magnitude. Doubt anyone could catch lightning in a bottle like Peter Jackson did but it would still be entertaining

The pacing did seem strange. I figured it was just bad/lazy directing. Why couldn't they roll out a 3 hour movie? I mean, it's the ing Avengers. It probably should have been broken into two different movies.

Cause you're less likely to take your kids to see it and the amount of people going multiple times will be cut in half. Ben Hur, Lawrence of Arabia, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Schindler's List, Braveheart, anic, Lord of the Rings. Those are things of the past. If something as popular and rich with material as the Marvel universe can't bring about a 3+ hour movie, whether due to lack of writing skills or studio tampering, then nothing can. For s sake everyone whines or at least talks about a movie's length when it's around 2 and a half

but when it comes out on blue ray, why not give the +3hr unedited?

That was Sony. Marvel didn't own any of the Spiderman movies recently.
