i enjoyed the finale overall. not absolutely amazing or anything, and maybe a little more time could have been given to john walkers story but it was all solid enough
They're definitely building towards the Thunderbolts, Young Avengers and West Coast Avengers tbh

love that symbolism where the guard tells them "one world, one people" before they get blown up, because zemo don't see them as the same people
- Sam’s new costume looks goofy AF
- Sharon shooting Karli in the last second was so predictable
- At least the action was awesome

Lol I like how the senators just stood there and took the verbal undressing from Captain Samerica.
The whole show ended up being less than meh. The villains were awful, especially Maya Rudolph. 4/10
I also like how a cheap desk chair was able to cancel out a shield throw. Lulz.
So far Marvel TV is two kinda fun shows that were ultimately misfires. WandaVision for going way off the deep end, FATWS for playing it way too safe.
Like almost every Marvel movie, every beat of this show was utterly predictable, but it was still fun to watch for the most part.

The lead into Armor Wars might be interesting though the Government doesn't own Stark Tech.

Agreed. Felt like they didn't try to hide it but also felt like they treated it as a big reveal in the final episode.
First Marvel series I thought could use two more episodes for a change. Seemed pretty rushed for both introducing Sam's Cap and completely resolving Bucky's entire character arc. They thoroughly nerfed Bucky after CA:TWS; at the very least they should've had him running alongside Steve and T'Challa at the initial charge in Wakanda and doing more than shooting a talking racoon at some aliens. They barely scratched the surface on his experience and collected knowledge but he's apparently over it so maybe he'll be the "I know a guy" guy in the next Cap movie or US Agent series....
Overall a mild disappointment full of pretty obvious missed opportunities. Action was pretty great but as mentioned the bad guys were hardly there and their plan and philosophy were threadbare. Sam's arc worked but at the price of four or five more complex and compelling characters that could've had their respective pasts/presents fleshed out in their own episodes like bad ol' Marvel TV used to do.
Yeah I hate how they haven't let Bucky unleash the fury. He was pointless in IW lol just shooting his giant gun.
Was hoping this would be his chance to shine but it was all the mental health stuff, which he did great, but still.
I don’t hate normal Bucky, but I prefer mind controlled assassin Winter Soldier, so that flashback scene early in the season where he kills those dudes and the witness with the winter soldier theme playing in the background was ing awesome
I mean a flashback fight between Bucky and Isiah would've been a ing amazing reveal for the latter.
Yep seeing Bradley ripping his arm off would have been great
Carl Lumbry looked massive in the show, pretty much like Bradley was in the comics (ok not as big, but realistically big lol)
A few things...
The Flagsmashers were crap villains. I mean without going back and rewatching episodes, I don't even think I could explain to somebody who they are or what their motives were.
Sam looks absolutely ridiculous in his new costume. Put a ing helmet on or something.
They might as well have just called this series The Falcon. Bucky gets criminally underused again, this time in a series where he shares top billing. I especially liked the "Captain America and the Winter Soldier" le at the end. Sam gets a name change, but Bucky is stuck with his brainwashed Hydra assassin name that he's been trying to make amends for.
Tbf Sam’s new suit is 100% comic accurate so that’s why he didn’t have a helmet
But yeah he does look goody in it tbh
As for the flag smashers motivations, I don’t know if the original plot would have made them more interesting and substantial, as they had to change a lot of things due to the pandemic
