This stat padding got getting an mvp is such a ing embarrassment
Meh, prime Tony Parker used to give him the business right back. Once Tony started to decline then he started "dominating" us. His biggest problem is he so inefficient and has never fully trusted his teammates.
Someone once said here that they'd rather have 15 or 17 Tony Parker's over one Russell Westbrook. I would wholeheartedly agree, TBH.

Tbh. Dude has always been a me first garbage stat padder.
Harden beat us in 2012, and KD in 2016.
Funny. When he used to be a good scorer the problem was Westbrook taking too many bad shots and not looking for his team mates enough. Now he does that, but his shooting numbers are way down, so now the problem is that he doesn't shoot well enough.
This.
He has become a better play maker
But his shot selection looks even worse because he can't consistently make open ones.
Crazy thing is, Stephen A, Max heck even Webber broadcasting tat game defend him because he plays hard and has high assist numbers. He will always play hard and I am proud of his improvements as a PG but that super max gonna sink them longterm and lol at PG signing away the last years of prime to be his wingman... If he didn't want Lakers even Clips would be better
PG might just be taking the biggest payday and saying the right things.
Yea, PG should have gone to the Lakers. As much of a dumpster fire as they are its better than playing with the POS Westbrook for how ever many years are left on that contract
Westbrook dribbled right into 3 defenders and choked the game
He just got shut down in a playoff game by Damian Lillard, who is not known for his defense. On the other end, Lillard lit him up like a Christmas tree for the second straight game.
Lillard just went 2014 again
Interesting to see posters who now mock Westbrook and call him overrated who were his biggest admirers in the past.

Westbrook needs whistles to be his most dominant. Not as badly as Harden, but he needs the whistles to force defenders to back off of him. Last night, Westbrook only went to the FT line three times. He still put up 29 points, but he shot 35% - that will lose you the game most of the time.
taking mad while getiing ing sonned by Lillard
butthurt boy always angry with reporters
"next question"
fraud MVP and PG on same team can't get further than SA
beat by a rookie last year
losing the best player in the game because you're a selfish chucker
triple doubles
gish clothing
always in his feelings
shooter still taking pull up threes in crunchtime
voted most overrated by his peers
OKC is ed paying this chimp 42.5 mil a season for the next 4 years
A lot of people here consistently argued that Westbrook was better than Curry...
Harlem always loved players that got carried by Alpha Durant tbh... though Raymond is still a scrub with 4 all stars next to him
Russ is one of the best PGs of all-time, but imagine if he had been coached by Pop..probably would have been this era's Magic Johnson..
Cancers can't get AIDS tbh
Thinking Russ would let anyone coach him
Yeah, and people are pissed at the state of the Spurs. OKC's 6'4" version of DDR, who is too stupid to know that he's NOT a 3 point shooter, and puts up 5 per game, is going to destroy their cap for the next 4-5 seasons, during which his knee will probably be bone on bone. Say what you want about PATFO, but that's not a situation that SA would ever find itself in. Every 3-4 years, they have dry powder, and an opening to sign or trade for someone.
Why do people keep discussing his contract?
He's there to entertain and keep the fans of a small market engaged, he's beloved there..the organization has allowed him to chase triple doubles for years, to the extent that his teammates sacrifice their own stats
Because people here that the Spurs are out of le contention, and that matters, but apparently, it's OK for OKC to do the same?

An anonymous Eastern Conference analytics director recently suggested that Russell Westbrook is past his prime."There's no debate," the analytics director said when asked if the 30-year-old Westbrook is past his peak. "You just look at what his metrics are this year versus the past, and where his age is and the amount of minutes and style of play, and there's no debate." Of the 30 players who averaged at least 20 points per game this season, Russ ranked dead last in EFG (46.8) and when you expand the threshold to guys who scored at least 15 points a night, he ranked 69th out of 70; right between Dennis Schroder and Andrew Wiggins. Yikes.
