They managed to get rid of CP0. But they don't have any assets left to attach so you're probably right.
Not while Dolan owns them, anyway.

Would love Russ on the Spurs, tbh... he’s just misunderstood, and there’s no role for him in these Rockets. No wonder they got rid of another great PG in Paul before him
russ actually played great, despite that last possession. 32/12/11 on 67% shooting.
this L is on harden. shot 5% from 3
Russ been the best rockets player for like a month now. plus he tries harder on defense now
The adjustment he has made to negate his decline in athleticism has been fascinating. A basketball genius, the least appreciated superstar of his time <3
the guys made MVP padding stats
spurs should've seen about trading demar for him over the summer like i said.
Still a team cancer. He just hasn't fallen off the 3pt wagon yet. You'll see.
rockets literally better without him
RW is beginning the Dwayne Wade injured knee while young glide path.
He's wearing down fast, which is bad news for guy who relies on athleticism and can't shoot.

rockets aren't up 2-0 because WB is out... rockets are up 2-0 because they've been lighting it up from 3. i took they took a record 55 3s in game 2.
And Westbrook isn’t taking ANY of those three pointers, nor hogging the ball. Terrible trade by Houston. CP3 has so much more gas’s left in the tank, mainly because his game is a guard’s version of Tim’s, junky and close to the floor.
westbrook has been taking a lot less 3s all season though.
i think the rockets had to make a move because the harden/cp3 relationship really seemed to have soured.
To me, Westbrook has always been in that sweet spot like Iverson, Dominique Wilkins, prime Derrick Rose, Gilbert Arenas, DeMar DeRozan, etc: good enough to guarantee a certain amount of quality wins, but flawed enough to guarantee no championships.
I'm not so sure he's wearing down so much as he can't coexist with another first-tier player. That 16-17 season where Westbrook's stats were so much better, I think the second best player on the team was Oladipo. And he had Adams and Kanter doing the dirty work, staying out of his way.
I think that goes with what R. DeMurre said below - Westbrook can raise a team's win floor significantly, but never put them over the top to contend for a ship.
Just cost the Rockets game 2 and might have cost them the series.

The worst high volume three point shooter in the history of the NBA.
Rockets up 5 with all the momentum in the World after being down 21. Enter Russell Westbrook. Game over for the Rockets. Had D'antoni kept him in the bench for a bit longer, the Rockets might have built a double digits lead and never look back.
This guy stole Kawhi's MVP. If Leonard would have won MVP with us, he might still be here.
